The day I will both smile and cry

More and more, people of difference races and creeds are coming together, getting married, and having children.. and I think it's a wonderful thing, that the barriers can come down. And eventually, all humans on earth will be one race - the human race - one that comprises of every ethnic group on the planet... on that day, I will smile, for that day will dawn the end of racism.

But on that day, I shall also cry (and I don't cry lightly), because that will be the day that the wonderful diversity that the human race has will be lost... The World is full of so many different and wonderful colours, cultures, and ideals.. it'll be a real shame if all of that is lost.

Why can't be all just accept one another for who we are? If the only way to stop racism is to become all the same, then I don't know if I want to live in that world.

that's a wondeful thought-one I have had many times before.

 

I really don't foresee all the different races of humans being lost.

There will always be diversity, especially as long as we are alive...this couldn't happen overnight.


I don't care what happens to races personally, its rather superficial, and as we are always evolving, that would fit right in.

 

no they do actually have a date where races will be gone I think it is soon too like 80 or 120 years from now or something.

Is that true ?? I think their is to many predjudices for that to be the way . Well maybe when the end of war or conflicts and everyone gets on is a recognised fact ? How likely is that in the next 80-100 years ? *sigh*.

Meh, i've been forcing myself to write interesting stuff, it's been more of a rant hole than anything else, complaining about technology, but I think there are some interesting entries in there... let me know what you think.
