I got several friends and I'm always looking for interesting new acquaintances but I get bored easily.. In general, people are pretty fucking boring. And dumb..
I have my friends from highschool (christian conservative). My friends from college (sports/party oriented) . And my post college friends (free thinking/ close to the earth). Many I haven't seen for years. Being away from them makes me appreciate friendship more.
I decided I was too good for most of my friends over the past year. Since coming to this conclusion I've had 4 new addresses and 3 new phone numbers. I've only provided those new numbers to about 3 people outside of my family. I just kind of figured that they were going nowhere and I didn't want to go nowhere with them. Now life is much simpler and a decent bit less busy as well. I like it that way. Besides, that's really what I have you guys for. I like conversing with most of you more than people I used to hang out with. Great thread btw!
Always sort of hung out with all kinds of people, but have had a core group of about 7 friends for a long time. My best friends are random as can be. One of em I've known since birth, the other is my cousin (only family by blood I'm really close with), some of em I went to school with, others went to other schools (I hung out with kids from all over town, that went to different schools), lots of my friends are camped out ("homeless"), and due to my vagabonding ways in the past I've made many good friends internationally and within different parts of the states.
my friends are lame. none of them will come to new york with me because it's raining out. when did rain become such a deal breaker?
High school friends, some friends I have met at school this last year, friends from my "goddess group"(these girls rock, very tribal and talented) friends from work, internet friends and Andrew's friends. Sounds like a lot but I sure get feeling lonely sometimes.
I have far-away friends, friends from work, friends from school, a few good friends and some interested ones... Internet friends too.
i have two really good friends, more like best friends. i met them both through my fiance. all the other people are just people i know through my fiance, people i dont chat too very often & dont make a point of picking up the phone & talking too. we chat if we see each other but we dont have a whole lot in common. i prefer having a couple of really close friends where as my fiance is totally opersit, he has lodes & lodes of friends & i mean lodes but dosent have one really close friend.
I've got a few friends from my hometown that I've accumulated over the years. one of them I've literally grown up with from we were toddlers, another I've been good friends with for about ten years. I don't see them much anymore though, as I'm not in my country most of the time. also a select few people I used to work with. then I've got a bunch of friends from diving and a bunch from traveling. I never used to have a lot of friends, I've always been of the persuasion that you can't really have more than a few real friends, but as I meet and connect with new people that opinion is changing. I may not see a lot of my friends very often, but we stay in touch and I know I will see them again.
