If I started my Book of Shadows, and later on in the years, it was full, or too messy, would re-organizing it or moving it all into a larger notebook, 'desecrate' it, in a way, or release it's Charge, or would it be transferred with the contents to the new BoS? I'm sorry if this questions completely stupid, but I'm new to the whole shabang
The only thing a "BoS" holds, as to charges and such, are the words and knowledge in it. They aren't sacred, they are a place to store what you have learned, and the wisdom you have developed. Do not confuse the book with some sort of magical tome...its a glorified trapper keeper. I keep several books that I record in, each on different subjects....no "book of shadows", as it were.
I would like to add, that as an animist, I would be lying to you if I said you wouldn't be losing something by dismantling the original one...but in the same way a plant dies when dropping its seed...so more plants may grow in its place.
