What do you mean make at home? You could always do beaded stuff, go to a bead store get some cool beads and make bracelets and necklaces with elastic string or fishing wire and I super glue the knots when I end them so that they don't come apart. Thats something you could do at home. Also you can make clay beads too. This is stuff that I do... if you want more ideas just PM me
find someone to show you a few of the simple hemp knots, start asking people your with that wear them if they made em themselves, someone should know its pretty easy and sweeeet lookin
