Insane Clown Posse is N O T death rap

A lot of folks tell me ICP is their favorite death rap band. I find it funny considering their style of rap isn't any way associated with death rap. Death rap is a very formal way of verbal abuse, while ICP"S music is just abuse. Don't get me wrong, I'm down with the clown anytime everyday, but ICP is NOT DEATH RAP. You can find real death rap when you listen to Necro or Goretex, and you will visualize the difference in your head. Compare lyrics. Compare the mood of the beat. This is a no contest battle.

wikipedia is not the most trusted website for the truth... but whatver, ICP has some good songs, so does Twiztid, but everything else that is psychopathic is souless, mainstream, shit hop.

 

I think that ICP had the best gimmick ever when they started. Their plan was to drop 6 albums and after the 6th album (Joker Card) the end of the world would come (Dark Carnival returns). Early on from 91-97 they stayed the course and put out some dope music. And even when they would talk about murder and death they were speaking about eliminating the wicked and evil people of the world. But, then towards the fifth and sixed joker card they started to slip and make some bad music choices. Don't get me wrong throughout their career they made some dumb and silly music but, towards the end and now they have really fallen off. I was the only non-caucasian cat that I knew that listened to ICP. But, I understood their gimmick and was intrigued by it. Peace to all

i like icp for the fact that it represents the ppl , and also the fact that those who listen to it get what they are saying . yah there lyrics may be a bit off pudding for me , but i got to give them respect , i have a good friend that loves icp , and i know ppl that fear those who listen to icp or any other music of that sorts . if it isnt ur cup of tea then fine .
i wouldnt let any kids i know under the age of 18 listen to them , but then agin my friend who listens to them has been listening since he was young , but he is a well rounded indidual that understand exsactly what is being said .

I'm black and I started listening to ICP when I was 15/16 back in 96/97. But, like I said in my earlier post I don't listen to them now because they dropped their last joker card back in 2004 and I feel like after the Great Malinko their lyrics feel off hard especially Violent J's and he was the best lyrically. I'm an emcee and lyrics are very important to me. I've never known any blacks besides myself that listened to ICP unless they hung around nothing but whites. And when I would try to let the cats that I knew listen to it they were not feeling it. But, at the same time I knew whites that listened to ICP just because they thought that they were funny and talked about crazy stuff and they never really understood the concept behind the music.

Also, ICP are not racist. If you go back to the Carnival of Carnage album and follow through to their later material you would see and hear how they are against racism. They have songs specificially about racist. Peace to all
