A bunny? Hmm, never heard that one before. Thanks for the nice compliment. I find when you work on yourself to be beautiful on the inside by listening and respecting people, you become more attractive to other people on the outside. That's my take...
Wow. Group hug. I needed that. Thanks. Moving on - do yo find this convincing? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh-_jTDumks The Rebbe was seen by many people to be the leader of the generation (Jewish, obviously). I try to take this letter which is usually used to say that LSD is forbidden by the Rebbe and I spin in it in my own, unique way. Are you sold at all?
I'd disagree. I already see little moments of telepathy peak there head out of the woodwork with me and my friends.
questing400, you gotta think about how terrifying it is for people to realize the truth of spirituality. Alot of people simply can't handle it. Alot of people who even take LSD, they are so far from being able to handle it that they will simply blank out and forget about any symptoms of the awakeneing awareness. I believe that, as soon as someone has the mental support, the mental comfort and enough components in his mind to make sense of the awakened awareness, they will recognize it. Possibly even without LSD. So what can you do? You prepare people, you present to their mind consciously and subconsciously components which will aid there ability to recognize, and be comfortable with, the awakened awareness. Telling someone it exists is inconsequential, as the moment there mind is capable of utilizing it, it will do so itself of it's own means, because it will be so close to the source at that point that synchronicity will make sure of it. So all you can do is provide components of comfort, understanding and compassion to start filling in the blanks in peoples head. And once each person has enough of any of these components on how to understand and deal with real spirituality, once they have enough to not go mad in the process, they will do it themselves. The awakening is coming to everyone, no doubt it will touch everyone in some way, you need not push it, you need too simply start constructing the new structure to utilize it as it comes of it's own natural means.
Rygoody - well I'm glad I'm not the only one sensing telepathy amongst friends. Your second post is interesting to me. See, the community I am now a part of is very close minded about these things even though they are very spiritual people. But according to Jewish law, they can't even consider this an option unless it is legal. Do you see what I'm trying to do, at least?
I also think that your major flaw, or at least your major contradiction, shines through when you speak about watching sports as if is shameful. To feel shame because you have chosen to spend some your time during the blessing that is life watching a sports game on television, reveals to me a desire to be disciplined, a lack of self confidence, and a fear of the irrational, or nonsensical. The way you speak so seriously about it, with such emotion and passion, is radical, seperative, and goes against the very point of the psychedelic experience. The point of the psychedelic experience, in my opinion, is less concerned with immediate spirituality and more concerned with forcing the user to confront the source of his/her own perception of reality. When you truly stand naked in the presence of God, or your higher Self, your fears, hopes, opinions and motivations/intentions behind your actions is revealed. This position one gets put in reveals the intangible hypocritical nature of what is 'understood' to be the self. It is my opinion that watching a ball game and praying to God are one in the same to the mind which has dissolved, even if for a fleeting moment once past, and is established in truth, without the desire to make sense out of it all. Yes, you can own a gun and kill someone under the condition of self defense, and no you can not walk into a store and buy a vial of LSD. This is how it works, and for many different reasons. My own experience with several psychedelics has put me in a very different state, one in which I have come to realize that I am not entitled to have an opinion regarding God, the nature of the soul, wether or not a soul has a foundation in any reality, or how to digest what others like yourself wish to share as if it were indisputable fact. One can spend ones entire life searching for God, trying to purify the mind and the sense organs, attempting to make sense out of spirituality and abiding by a strict code of discipline, all generated by a belief in a cosmic force. And that's fine in my book, but I do not need the sense of shame in order to define a sense of worth. Ball games, suicide, prayer, love and infinite sadness are just moving scenes in a cosmic drama in which I chose to play the part of camera man rather than actor. It let's me sit next to the director at all times.
Relayer - that was a beautiful post and I agree with you on many levels. However I do feel I am entitled to my own view of spirituality. The Jews do not try to convert anyone or force out views on anyone. But for me to hold my opinion in - that would be hard for me. I get passionate about not wasting time in life. I feel we should all be a little smarter than we are now and should be studying chemistry, physics, and health a little more than watching "the game". However, your words were very powerful and I am not walking away unaffected. May G-d Almighty bless you in all that you do.
Thanks for the kind words, CherokeeMist. Relayer's post inspired me to further explain myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9t6WieDGgs As usual, I am open to all criticism and feedback. May we merit to live in a truly free society that allows us to express ourselves fully and without fear of punishment.
You make an excellent point about engaging vs non-engaging activity. I like the energy you wish to instill in all men, and i see your point. you know, this divide between your opinion, and relayers and mine opinion on the ballgame, is mirrored in another area of the world. it's mirrrored in the two primary divisions of buddhism; one (mahayana) believes that all sentient beings, upon reaching enlightenment, should work to better the world and ultimately take it to the point where they pledge to refuse entering heaven until every single sentient being in the universe is saved. the other, (hinayana), believes that once one is enlightened, one is freed from responsibilities on this world, and one may do what one pleases, and in mythology that is to ascend to heaven. So it's like a divide between a collective view of the power of LSD, and the individual view of the power of LSD. Clearly LSD has power in both realms, the personal and the global, but does one supercede another? Perhaps a middle path is available to us, one that recognizes both (1) the responsibility on our shoulders from the knowledge we have of LSD and of life and the universe and all that, and (2) our inherent right as sentient beings to choose not to lead a life of selfless or selfish betterment and instead eat pancakes everyday on our sofa until we expire . Obviously I don't think anybody would ever do that after ingesting LSD even once, but i think the option is still there for us if we choose. Once you open yourself with lsd, you become an open book upon which a new sharp awareness and a new unfiltered view of the world can scroll the story of your life. How can we realistically and accurately describe what will end up being scrolled? It may be evolution, it may be revolution, it may be a cure for cancer, it may be a better lightbulb, it may be living in the woods as a hermit. infinite possibilities! perhaps I am confused because I am not a fan of "should", only "can" i believe the "should" can be left unspoken upon sufficiently evolved peoples.
Wow, thank you for enlightening me. The last grand master of Lubavitch swore to his adherents that he would not enter heaven until the world was perfected, what you call mahayana. It's really cool to see that in another philosophy. And I think anyway life is all about balance - you need both personal satisfaction and a broader sense of purpose. However, my point is simply that your broader sense of purpose should be primary, while your personal satisfaction should be secondary. I know that as humans, we are capable to reach this level - it's simply a matter of exertion, in my opinion.
I hear you friend. My day yesterday was spent from the time I woke up until the time Thanksgiving dinner was served with my face buried in a philosophy book. Im having a friend tutor me in mathematics on weekends and plan to go back to school for a chemistry study, or possibly physics, when I get the money and my driver liscence back. But sometimes, watching a ball game is required, the beauty of God's creation is everywhere you look if you have the right eyes! God bless
Yeah, I have nothing against playing sports. The way we're made, without that I think we would fight even more than we do now. I wish people in my community took better care of their health. I think it just makes you happier and more productive. And it's great to hear you have so much good stuff going on in your life. Relayer. May you find much success. Some guys on youtube told me it's clear that a society would not want its citizens to be fully enlightened. Can anyone here make heads or tails with that? It would seem to me that that would be ideal as an enlightened citizen is a happy, proud, and fruitful one.
An enlightened citizen is happy, healthy, and motivated. That is the biggest enemy of most major governments in the world. They want depressed, sick, and apathetic civilians, it helps them run their country easier. That is the sad truth; our world is run by men not fit to lick the boots of our children.
I think that if you're going to pepper your speeches and writing with Hebrew, or any other non-English words, you ought to define them clearly and consistently, if your audience is meant to include gentiles. The same problems occur when people casually use esoteric Hindi etc. words without explaining them. To the cynics among us, it may even be perceived as pretentious to just throw these words out there. I felt alientated a bit.
ooh, so sorry about that. It won't happen again. Thanks for the heads up. I made this channel for Jews to talk about things they don't usually talk about forgetting that if the message is good, non-Jews might also want to look at it. Sorry...
Can you tell me where this thought comes from? A few guys on youtube have said it and I can't for the life of me trace it back. It simply doesn't compute in my book. Why wouldn't I want my citizen to be as smart as possible?
