I guess I should start by listing all the bands I like: Phish (all the boys side projects included) The Dead The String Cheese Incident Moe Galactic Medeski Martin and Wood Yonder Mountain String Band Bella Fleck and the Fleck Tones Keller Williams Gov't Mule There are a few others, but this list should give yall a good sence of the bands I like and I'm sure many people here could also benefit from listing great jam bands. I just love any kind of music made by people who know how to get crazy on their insterments. Well, who do you all like?
Im into the Dead, Phish, SCI, moe., widespread panic, Keller, Addison Groove Project, MMW, soulive, REZI, the breakfast, spearhead, disco biscuits, mecca bodega and a few others, but im too out of it to think of them right now.
Neil Zaza! I've got one of his live CDs, where he plays with Bobby Rock, and "The Buddha", and it's just awesome. Neil plays crazy long-ass sweeps on guitar, and The buddha is insanely fast...pick it up or try to download it.
You could look up John Butler Trio, John Butler only uses long fingernails for guitar picking, and can do some pretty insane solos, also a very good slide player.
