We have a fake one for some years now.
    I don't mind.
It's quite sad knowing the tree will dry away and we'll have to throw it away.
A fake one is good for the environment I think. I don't have to think about the fact that that tree was killed to ornate our house for a few days...

we always had reals ones when i was younger, then the year i moved out my dad bought a fake one.

me & my fiance alternate between real & fake. when we go on holiday with my family for christmas we put up a fake one but when we stay with my fiances family we put up a real tree. there is nothing nicer than coming down stairs on a cold december morning to the smell of christmas tree.

Every year I think about getting a fake one because it would be so easy, but I just can't do it. We always get real. When we have little kids around, we like to go up and cut one, but we haven't done that for a few years-the youngest was my grandson @15. Now I have a new grandson (10 days old), so in a few years, we'll have to head back to the farm. My city recycles the trees for compost, so they go back to the earth and not to waste.
