We should be ashamed of what we are doing to Afghanistan!

And we should immediately withdraw from Iraq and let the pigs of the desert kill each other.

 

Which is.... Establishing a democratic government? Removing Taliban rule? Building schools, clinics, roads, irrigation systems? Educating and immunizing children? Giving equal rights to women? Trying to erradicate opium production?

All things to be ashamed of eh?

By the way, before you respond I would challenge you to educate yourself on the goals, challenges, and accomplishments rather than just the shortcommings. Though I wouldn't imagine that is in your nature.

 

My optimistic response is that all foreigners will withdraw from Afghanistan and allow the Afghanis to determine their own destiny.

 

Sometimes what people want is not something they can achieve on their own, and the strong need to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
