my cousin tom smokes weed and he invited me over to smoke some with him. this would be my first time and i know this may sound kind of odd but im really concerened with smoking's effects on my education. I was wondering like how smoking affects the minds of 15-17 year olds in like the first 3 months after being high. Thanks :)

It can really screw up your short term memory ... can make school a problem. Friday night smoking until you discover how it affects you might be a good idea.

    Have fun and play safely!

the short term memory thing for me is only while im high

but yea it shouldnt be a problem just smoke on weekends till (like the guy above me says) u get more used to its effects

itll only make school a problem if u go get high instead of do ur HW or not study cause u have to go get high or stuff like that

Smoking weed everyday is not for everyone. I personally worked my way up to that one but at 17 you should be ok now. You brain is mostly developed and should not affect you much. I encourage most people to wait until they are of legal age but again 17 is fine. Stick to weekends for now learn how it works for you.

dude it totally depends on how often and how much you smoke. if you only do it every know and then and don't get absoloutly ripped then the effects would be so minimal that you would not be able to tell in the slightest

I personally couldn't have gotten high within a day of school when I started... I started the first day of 8th grade but didn't get high(I'm sure I had gotten high, but not RIPPED out of my skull) until the summer of freshmen year. I would get so high I'd just lay there and drift off for an hour and then repeat. Now I can handle myself with it better.

Some people I know talked to there parents perfectly fine the first time they got high. Its just dependent on how you react to it.
