egad, i started making necklaces at 3pm on sunday, took a break from 7 - 11pm worked till four in the morning of monday, and got up at 10, started making again from 11:30- 1, came back at 2 ish, and worked some more till about 5. i came out of it with 25 necklaces, over the course of 2 days. holy burning fingers batman! aaannyways, ima sell them for 4-6 bucks a piece at school. also, can anyone tell me any good ideas on how to sell them? if a teacher saw me selling my necklaces, they'd take them away and i'd never see them again. i kinda have a deal with a local hippie outlet store (i give them 10+ necklaces, they sell them, i get part of what they sell) , but i dont feel like waiting for months to collect money. any idea on how to sell on the internet?
why would the teachers take your necklaces. thats not right. i used to bring them to school and i even sold some to teachers. and the store should give you money up front. they should purchace your items and then they should put them up for resale. you shouldnt have to wait for a percentage. another thing you could do is go to a park and peddle your goods or any other public area with heavy foot traffic. peace, bob
Yeah, I dunno if I started higher if I would have gotten more or if it would just not have sold. What I really want to do is make a bunch of stuff and save it up. A few of my friends and I are planning on moving to Asheville, NC and starting a mini-commune with a store for such things. Peace, Ryvr
opening a store is a high risk business you need to make sure there is a demand in the area for your products and location location location is key. Also lots of advertising is needed. you could wholesale to stores with a minium purchasing amount required, also provide a display for your jewelry. websites could work for both retail and wholesale
Hey man, just wait till some public event, like a rock show or something. youd probly sell a ton. hah ive allready bought 3 off you, so you must be doing something right.
yea what i do at concerts or festivals and things like that, put your necklaces on like a metal ring and hook it to your beltloop and just walk around like that. anyone that wants to buy one will just come up and ask. good luck selling them!--+peace+--
