What is it people want in a President?

I know "you people" kinda puts off some folks. But seriously, what is it gonna take for people to realize that we're kinda screwed. More so with Bush, but hey common sense and a good moral compass tells me that both runnin' for President are kind of tainted... though I do belive Bush is of higher significance in that category. We all know it, but very few are looking for the other option. You see the American people feel they haven't a choice, so they vote for the lesser of 2 evils. What??? I've realized, why in the heck would anyone go with that logic? Oh so we don't want Hitler so we'll go with Mussolini instead. I mean the red assed republicans hate Kerry for the same reason that we hate Bush, only Bush is magnified because he is the one in control and he basically is dumber than a bag of brylcreem while Kerry is more intelligent. I mean we've got the Terminator as governor terminating California's credibility. We got that Delay guy carving up the Constitution and shoving special interest into his pockets. I mean these guys in the Bush administrative cabinet are the epitome of what ignorance and the term "ignoramus" is all about.

All of this going on while ol' nimrod Bush is busy trying to rebuild Babylon, while speaking different tongues here at home. I mean I can't understand the hate and logic from some folks. I wash my hands of Bush and I think more folks should look at the writing on the Wall. I'm not going to judge John Kerry as I feel he deserves a shot if done fairly... that's why I like independence. Independent conservative liberalism. I figure if we put half the energy into supporting the third parties as we do tearing each other down, we might find another president who speaks to all of us and who will put US and the Constitution before themselves... it's just a sacrifice and duty you have to make as not only a leader but a human being.

What we do need... A brain, a heart and courage. That not only fits the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, but it also fits a good President. Unfortunately it leaves out George Bush since his only courage is when he puts others in harms way. But he does have a lot of heart for his Halliburton and Enron buddies. Your retirement is at stake and your health care is at stake. Whether the situation in the Middle East continues to deteriorate and you or your family is drafted is at stake. The deficit is at an all-time record high, which means your interest rates and taxes are at stake.
Start by taxing the rich first, which may slow the deficit and save more of the incomely average person's tax cuts... we need the best chance at building a coalition for the "rebuilding" of Iraq... and you need someone who is determined to save Social Security. Bush has said there may have to be a new system for the young. That would mean you'd have paid into a system that will be gone long before you're there to reap any rewards.

If ever a line from a movie fit an election: "THE TRUTH?! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!' Our electorate sites on the internet quite literally cannot handle the truth. It is one of the things that has really held back GWB in the debates... and almost certainly why we have not seen a form 180 from Kerry yet.

Oh, and one more thing, for any Bush supporters viewing this... Now that Iraq and Afghanistan are free, how many of you will be moving there? Just wondering...

And I've been reading up on the Wolfowitz doctrine from back in the '90s. Now that is some scary shit. And what is even more so is how Bush got into office in the first place. I can't believe that even now he has so many people blindly supporting him. Most of the ones I have talked with don't even know why. They have absolutely no idea what they are supporting and how corrupt Bush's administration truly is.

Jesus Christ, I just don't understand people sometimes.

 

Well no, most of Europe and Canada are free too, but I don't plan to move there either.

As for what I want in a president, I want someone who I believe will do a good job, thinks somewhat along the lines I do and will uphold the constitution. Oh, where is George Washington when you need him.

 

Honey, try living in Texas. People worship him down here. Your house practically gets burnt down if you put a Kerry-Edwards sign in your yard.

 

That's Virginia... I think I've seen maybe four kerry signs and two kerry bumper stickers in this town. Everything else - Bush out the ass.

 

If you think George W. Bush is a defender of the constitution and defends the civil liberties and freedoms established by our founding fathers then I really want what you're smoking. In my opinion, the United States version and definition of true freedom established for the people and by the people is rather half assed at this point in time.

Canadians are better off where they're at... and I really think France is doing the right thing by thinking for themself instead of being peer influenced. Go France. As far as patriotism and freedom goes, it's a nice thing, but in the end it just makes you look like an ignorant egotistical stuck up asshole.

Alex... go north for about an hour, you'll be surprised. There's a line of signs along about a half mile stretch of signs on highway 17 here that are kerry... other than that, it's bush every 300 feet.
