Here's a rewrite for the Sex Pistol's famed "Anarchy in the U.K." which I thought would make the song reflect anarchist ideology a bit more accurately. I’m not a pacifist Caus I am an anarchist I know what I want and I know how to get it I wanna destroy authority Caus I wanna be anarchy! (Freedom over me!) Anarchy for the u.s.a. is coming sometime if you only believe No states, no banks, no hierarchies I’ll make my dream a reality Caus I wanna be anarchy! (Burn the city!) There’s many ways you’re being oppressed Enough of that, it’s time to resist! (Together) We’ll fight them in the streets And build a new society Caus I wanna be anarchy! (Free’s the only way to be!) Is this the I.R.S.? Is this the President? Is this the CIA? Nevermind, it’s just the U.S.A. Just another country Caus I wanna be anarchy! And I wanna be anarchy!
