First-time user did 25mg Methadone - 2 days later, disabled Oxycontin 40mg??

Hey, I did 25mg of Methadone two days ago for the first time ever and just bought a 40mg oxycontin (brand-name) and did it tonight for the first time ever and my high was so insignificant -- it felt like I had taken about 3 oxycodone 5's.. is this normal? I felt like it didnt give me nearly as potent of a high as it should have. I hadn't even taken oxycodone for two weeks prior to tonight and It lasted about 2 hours and the comedown made me very weak and I had almost zero euphoric effect, whereas usually even taking about 3-4 regular oxy 5mgs gives me a euphoric, drawn out comedown.

I know that methadone is made to tightly bind to the opiod receptors in your brain, causing other opiates to not get you high-- but this quick? and on such a small dose? Again, Is this normal?

 

What was your method of injestion for the 40? did you snort it? And yes Methadone does block some opiates such as herion ect.. thus it could be rendering the effects of the oc to Nill. Methadone will stay in your system for a long time (up to 7 days in some cases!) and can block opiates for 36 to 72 hours or longer depending on the dose. Im sure the done had some effect on the OC.

 

I took it orally. Broke the oc in half

 

never take oc whole parachute or snortt

 

yea take the coating off crush it to as fine a powder as possible and rail em man

 

I don't think that just breaking it in half defeats the time release at all. That could have been the problem.

 

Crush into a fine powder and rail or parachute it.

 

Yeah you should of made the pill into powder form. Then either snorted it or swallowed.
