I can read it... just don't know what I am saying. *dumb* I would love to learn it. I would be one of the few in my family that actually speaks it, well, besides the ones in Israel.
That doesnt make you dumb, most people need a fair amount of exposure to be able to properly speak a non primary language.
I know. I learned how to read out of the Torah for my bar mitzvah, but I was never taught the meaning of anything I was reading. That is what I found dumb. Oddly, I picked up a prayer book a few days ago and I could still read the letters and pronounce all the words just fine. It had been 8 years since I had really looked at any of it. I was pretty surprised.
No. Not really. I don't know him. His comments are generally pretty pointless and unoriginal, but whatever. We seem to be pretty alike in a lot of ways... Don't people always dislike the ones that remind them of themselves. Fuck me. And fuck him.
I'm trying to learn it on my own. I know a bit of Yiddish though - and can read it. So I thought I'd give it a try with Hebrew as well.
