ok so here's the deal, my wife just had oral surgery on friday, it is sunday. The doctors perscribed her lortab, (which is a liquid form of hydrocodone aka vicodin syrup), an antibiotic, and zofram to help with upset stomach and vomitting caused by the other drugs. The problem is however that the lortab makes her vomit, the antibiotic makes her vomit and the zofram, which mind you is supposed to help the nausia and vomiting is making her vomit. She generally hates all perscription drugs anyway and now refused to take any of them. So I was thinking of getting her some weed to smoke, I've read up on this and the main problem I've come accross would be a dry socket from smoking, I guess when you smoke the sucking will pull out the blood clot and cause a dry socket. I hate seing her in pain though so I was wondering if anybody else has smoked up after oral surgery without any problems, and or suggestions of method, i was thinking about making her a gravity bong so she wouldnt have to actually suck on anything and pull out the blood clot. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks all.
Yeah, dry socket would suck. You could make some edibles, if you want. A gravity bong would probably be good too, as long as she was careful.
In my experience, after having my buried wisdom teeth surgically extracted and another surgery in the abdomen, ingesting pot made both experiences much more intense. Being high made me very aware of what I had undergone and of the wound and pain in a very defined way... too conscious about the whole ordeal. Far from comforting or alleviating the pain, it made me more aware of it. Uncomfortable. Of course, this is just my opinion. BTW I smoked little more that a week after my oral surgery, although I didn't bleed, dry mouth was uncomfortable for my stitched wounds.
i'd suggest a hot knife setup get a 2 liter bottle cut off the bottom half, heat up a pair of knives, put a piece of bud between them, hold the bottle over the knives with the top in her mouth. have her inhale when you squeeze the knives together. she won't be making a vacuum in her mouth, so there should be no problem with the clot. it would be pretty much like breathing normally, just with smoke instead of air
