"No-Drama" Obama might have just cast himself into a soap opera. It looks like Hilllary will be his new Secretary of State. Of course, minutes after they met just to talk it over, Obama's famously air-tight campaign suddenly started leaking like a sieve.

Coincidence? Nah. The Clinton entourage is a circus. And it's all about the Clintons when they're around. They think they are royalty. Does Obama really want to sign onto this? What happened to the "new era"?

Drama aside, this is the mean-girl who for months ridiculed Obama as "naive," joined John McCain in snickering over Obama's willingness to (gasp) speak to our enemies instead of just unilaterally bombing their asses. This is the woman who aired a commercial with a little girl lying in bed at 3 a.m. when the phone rings, scaring Texans into rejecting Obama the scary black man.

Obama has a mandate. Hillary supporters embraced him. Hillary stinks of yesteryear. Obama's making a deal with the devil. "Team of Rivals" strategy aside, this was a dumb move.

Just keep the Clintons out of the Lincoln bedroom. And no interns!

I'm not convinced it's such a bad move. Obama is more than capable of controlling the clintons. question is, is she worth it?

I hope you're right, MJ. Certainly Obama has considered all the potential baggage. I don't think Hillary would go "rogue" on him, yet I don't see her as an underling. This is a compliment.

In the primary debates, it was during foreign policy discussions that Hillary often caught fire. Again, that's a compliment. Her knowledge of the world and familiarity with world leaders is broad. But unfortunately a lot of that same fire came across as condescension. She may praise Obama in public, but on foreign policy matters she will struggle with her ego -- equally broad.

I suppose we shall see ...

I really really don't like anything about her. So therefore, I agree that it was a mistake.

    Uhhh...

It's not exactly over, just yet...

Obama isn't even Prez Elect, yet.

Not until Dec. 15th, when the electoral college votes.

But before that, on Dec. 1st,

Obama will be appearing before the Supreme Court.

Good point. He won't have to worry about Hillary if they deport him.

i know i probably ought to post this in the Conspiracy Forums, but listen to this:

    What If:

Hillary is blackmailing Obama with something?

It's just too strange that he would be cozying up to her, naming her SoS, and a Big Bunch of her supporters to his cabinet...

    So.

    Am i crazy?

    Or just high?

Maybe crazy and high. If so, good for you!;)

But you're not alone. Camille Paglia just published a column in Salon this week asking your same question:

Perhaps because i'm crazy and high ;), all of this is just mind boggling to me.

These people are LAWYERS ~ they must know exactly what the laws are concerning a native-born president.

One would think they'd also have to know that the appointment of Hillary was unconstitutional.

If our leaders keep breaking our laws, it will be the end of our Constitutional Republic. :(

No BooBoo, they think that because 150 years ago they were an independent nation (that they stole from Mexico the same way we stole the rest of North America from the Natives) that they have some monopoly on the skills to run a country. She is clueless on constitutional law and constantly defers to these nutball lawyers and their spurious lawsuits. She's probably not even a native Texan, probably moved there during the oil boom of the 70s. I'd bet on it.

PS: And even after what I posted above, let's not forget that most Texans won't even claim EITHER of the Bushs as their own anymore, even though one was governor and the other a congressman.

Ok well the economy was at it's best when the Clinton's were in office. And while Bill was getting his dick sucked Hillary had to run the country so I think it was a good move.

    Thank you come again

Yes May it was. But as much as it pains me to admit it, it had little to do with the Clintons. The extreme budget cuts and programs of the Reagan era were mostly responsible for the economic successes of the 90s. I was a part of the cuts at the Dept. of the Interior in 1981 and had to resort to wearing a uniform. But the Clintons did a lot of other good things, like NOT squandering the surplusses created in the 80s.

Bush is a transplant from Connecticut. NOT a native Texan.

Hiring Rahm was Obama's first mistake, not Hillary.

That says that this presidency will do as it's told, and they have the son of Jewish terrorist to make sure that they do.

He's the new enforcer, and he will be to Obama what Cheney was to Bush.

Hillary will do as she's told, just as Colin and Condi have.

No thanks. Demanding people's papers seems to be high on your list of priorities. Not mine.

So let me get this straight ~

you are admitting that you'll believe ANYTHING anyone tells you, 'cuz it would violate their rights to ask for any credentials to back up their claims?

Good grief. Don't you see how ridiculous that is?

In order to get ANY decent job here in the US, we, the citizens, have to furnish our credentials to any would-be employer. The highest office in the land is no exception, and folks who disagree are showing THEIR bias and prejudice.

But just watch ~ i'll be called a racist, a redneck, and a whole lot worse,

JUST BECAUSE I KEEP ASKING FOR CUSTOMARY DISCLOSURES.

i'd sure like to hear some good reasons why y'all think it's such a great idea to hire someone without seeing any of their credentials, references or identification.
