when I'm not high on drugs ( dxm which is in robotussin...I prefer the pills over syrup) I'm sooooo tired

I have to take anti- sezure meds too which made me tired at first but not latee on

when I was in rehab I was the only person tired all the time so it might not be the drugs

I need to exercise but haven't done it yet but don't know if it would help

other people don't seem to need it for energy

my diet is balanced and was in rehab so I figuured that couldn't be it and I don't eat much but I don't starve myself either I eat about 2 small meals a day

I can sleep 12 hours a day when not on DXM and still need to nap

I hardly need sleep on DXM because life is more interesting but i even need a lot of sleeo when I'm not bored

and I'm am not recently working now either so the thought of this scares me when I get a full time job

There are also medical reasons for being tired all the time. I have an underactive thyroid problem that without medication causes me to be tired all the time. Like if I am up for more than 8 hours I am exhausted and need to go back to sleep. That kind of reminds me to go back on my meds because I haven't been taking them for a couple months and I kind of like it when I'm not tired all the time.

I went to rehab this summer and I wasn't tired all day long but I was taking my meds. I had a hard time with the whole thing and am now drinking again (but still drug free) but am still disallusioned with life in general. The entire food thing in rehab was also hard for me as I only eat once a day and it was hard to have to eat 3 times a days. It didn't give me any more energy it just made me feel bloated.

I could be wrong, but only eating two small meals a day could have an effect. The average amount of daily calories for an adult is 2000 I believe, and it sounds like your eating alot less then that. Your body may not be getting enough calories and as a result may becoming lethargic.

Exercise is always good. Not only do you feel better, but you look better also :)

Drugs (any drugs) unfortunately arn't good for you. They have many side effects, and they can be different depending upon the person. What one person (or many people for that matter) have as a side effect can be different then you. That may be part of the reason also.

Are you depresesd, or overly stressed out? That would do it also.

I would recommend drinking fruit/vegetable juice (that you juice yourself). Try for a daily basis, it does wonders.
