Hmm. It seems as of late (of course it's when I like someone) people seem to hit on me more than usual. Normally I just take the shit and it helps my self esteem, but I just get annoyed more or less. I don't mind compliments, but it seems sort of a waste of time to just tell someone something about them without any meaning of following it through. What is the point, the smile you get from it? Oh ya and I'm a guy if that matters.

    Your thoughts?

I find it very annoying, boyfriend or not, when people hit on me.... if they hit on me lol. It's like all they're thinking about is the outward appearance when they never even talked to me or known who I am as a person. All they notice is a feature of the body. Blegh.

^haha I feel the exact same way.... I don't think of my own appearance much so it's a little weird when people give compliments based on that. (nice hair, eyes, etc) I'm so reluctant to tell people that I really like how beautiful they are because of the way I feel. I know it shouldn't matter and blah blah, but it does haha

Relationships start with sexual attraction. Otherwise you could have a relationship with any gender. There are guys who I can have lots of conversations with. They would be called "friends".

There are girls who I can also have many long conversations with, but it started with me thinking - wow, what a babe! Then I got to know her and she's probably the most interesting person I'll ever know. Yes she's my friend, but I also like to make love to her. She would be called "girlfriend".

Then there's another woman who I have nothing in common with and we exchange hello's with once in a while. She is called "wife".

It depends on the guy & how he does it. I'm mostly really unreceptive these days. I just want to be left alone.

I'm with you on the hating being hit on. Especially by older men. Its just so gross, and what are they thinking? I'm like half their age, and they get really creapy sometimes.

i don't mind being hit on at parties and whatnot but i HATE when guys honk their horns or lean out the car window to blow a kiss or something. it's gross and it's pointless. this happens all the time where i live... to any girl 11-50 years old... regardless of what she's wearing... it's ridiculous. and it's always middle-aged / old paisas that do it.

Despite being a man, but again if the woman is not exactly my type, I wouldn't really welcome hits on me, and it happened, and I didn't welcome it.

I found the humor in it.

as for people hitting on you, how would you like someone to approach you then? Or would you rather do the approaching?

Seems if I were a woman I would hate the types of guys who hit on me with their eyes more-so than their tongue. By that I mean, the type of guy who is all "yeah baby, you so fine" etc. etc. compared with "You look very nice and interesting." etc.

I'd much rather hear the second than the first.

I don't usually like it but I'm working on my reaction because I have a feeling that wanting to threaten someones life because they think I'm cute is a bit of an over reaction...
