We won't be missing bumbling Bush anytime soon, as long as Sarah is still newsworthy. I can't believe she was unaware of what was going on behind her as she made a pr video saving a turkey's life right before Thanksgiving. And her closing comment about being in charge of the turkey for the family dinner had me rolling. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/11/20/sarah-palin-holds-news-co_n_145375.html
hey man she said it herself,"you need a little levity in this job".. nice lil setup the guys got for slaughterin the turkeys there...
I just watched this again on the news, and you know what it looks like she planned this. I know it gives her media coverage, but what sort of media coverage?
i personally dont see anything wrong with it.. was this originally shot for local broadcast? if so then i really dont see anything wrong with it..i mean knowing the alaskans i know they would get a chuckle out of it as well.. oh and of course it was set up that way.. you really think everyone involved was blind to what was going on?
So just how long was that turkey's reprieve that she was supposed to be promoting for the kiddies before Thanksgiving? Or was he one the birds we saw bled out on national tv? That's the sort of humor you see after prime time.
hell i dunno,, i dont care either.. kinda a stupid warm fuzzy meaningless thing anyway.. if they really wanted to impress me they would pardon a non violent drug offender not a farm raised chunk of meat..
It reminds me of the Airplane or Naked Gun movies. A lot of the comedy occurs when a supposedly serious discussion is happening in the foreground, while something hilarious and absurd is going on in the background -- which the characters who are talking do not notice. Good ol' Sarah. You can't write comedy any more absurd than her daily life.
