if i went to mexico, i would be the best bass player in the world! ...at approximatlely 9:00 every morning my hispanic neighbors BLARE polka music!!!! deh duh deh duh deh....im sure you could imagine it! LET MI SLEEP MI AMIGOS!
that's probably the same shit I hear everyday. that bump, bump, bump ba ba bump idiotically happy bass driven shit.
lol,, its not the polka.. its just a similar rhythm...they dance the quebradita to it not the polka..
yeah i dont think its proper polka music, but as i understand it there was a lot of musical influence from german settlers
i lived once in a neighborhood full of mexican migrant workers and heard the music morning and night. Sometimes it was uplifting when depressed, other times it just got on my nerves. Of course american rap blaring and booming all hours of hte day and night get on my nerves as well, really any music loud enough to be heard from another dwelling is too much.
cojunto, tejano music, mexican folk music with heavy german folk influences "mexican polka" I've been trying to find a nice playlist of it actually, I like some of it, but I never catch song titles, or musician names.
those are spin offs of banda.. the original german influenced music is banda.. some to look into dave.. banda r-15, arcangel, tejanos del norte, los bondadosos, banda machos, banda 30-30, Alacranes,el recodo (most famous), el limon
the ones listed you shouldnt.. this is of course assuming that you really do like that style of music.. those are some of our personal favorites that we have listened to for years..
just about every song tejanos del norte has is about running drugs,,hell all of them are influenced heavily by the drug trade..
herb alpert sucks. but thats waaaaaaay off from what is being discussed. herb alpert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-_2QpbXMbw quite different from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSCrC5Jt4ro
herb alpert was in tijuana brass, right? i like that stuff. my dad had a buncha records. i'd listen to all of them.
