The Monster In The Closet

I got home today and was hit by what smelled like cat piss. I don't have a cat and there was definitely also kind of green, sweet overtones not like the rancid ammonia of feline urine at all but still overpowering.

Humm, been out of town for a couple of weeks and left the place spotless except the closet with the scientific experiment...Uh, Oh, cat piss? How could it have gotten it...

Going upstairs to find the culprit, open the closet door and WHEW, not a feline but smelly green leaves everywhere; the small space full, overfull even.

Good grief, just for fun or stupidity, I ordered a few seeds from a breeder in Holland, tossed them into some five gallon buckets filled with good dirt and into a small closet with a a four foot, four tube, high output fluorescent a couple of months ago and now, I come home...Oh my, the closet is about 2' x 6' and all I can see is foliage, green, smelly leaves. This stuff is voracious, five buckets and I might need a machete for trimming and pretty sure I was buzzed, after about 20 years celibacy, within the first five minutes...Oh my.

How the hell can such large plants exist in such a small space and I haven't toked in many years. What to do?

Humm, while this is all true, it actually happened over a year ago and all evidence is long gone. It was scary and fun but in the end, four of the five plants were male and the lady, while extremely potent, yielded less than an ounce, 28 grams...

Monsters in the closet indeed but no one died or was even put out, except me, trying to figure out what to do and not go to jail.

I was only gone for a couple of days when the plants were about 2 months old. I knew the growth was getting a bit out-oh-hand but they seemed to not only thrived while I was out but started smelling (or maybe just didn't notice).

Heard that it's a common for skunk genetics, I just wasn't expecting it and it was just that time...put into flower.

Yeah, they drank a lot of water which was also a pain since I wouldn't use it straight from the tap...chlorine, ya know.

 

P.S. Pretty sure that cat pee is not good for plants. At least I know someone who tried watered-down human urine and burned their plants.

I don't think leaving a plant for a couple of days and coming home to plants that have grown a couple of inches (at most!) constitutes a "monster in the closet". You act so surprised by everything, as if planting several seeds with known skunk genetics in 5 gallon buckets, giving them water and using a decent light wasn't going to produce a smelly marjuana plant?? holy shit.

Well yes, I expected some smell but my only experience, until then, was many years ago growing bag weed outside. They just smelled green until flowering and then kinda hashy. No big deal but cat piss? I just don't know.

I'm only assuming these had skunk in the family. The place where seeds came from didn't divulge the genetics. Check them out if you care:

And unfortunately, the packages weren't marked, so no idea what it was all about.

When I pulled out the males, I found the smell was only coming from one of them. The other two boys and the female (one was killed shortly after germination) only had a slight, kinda sweet smell.

Do you have any idea when skunks start smelling? Or possibly just wasn't obvious until the AC was off for I couple of days. Yes, yes I did say a couple of weeks, incorrectly, tt was, if I remember correctly, 3 days (late, tired, typing too fast...just a dumb mistake)

Second, the growth rate on these things, when nearing maturity, was a lot more than a couple of inches a day.

As for pictures, I think people who pass such things around are just asking for trouble. You do know that you computer can be traced quite easily?
