Well orange hairs are always good. Sticky is good. How easily it breaks off the bud.

However, you should be able to ask the dealer a few questions, or stick to someone you trust.

orange hairs and how easily is breaks apart have nothing at all to do with quality. the orange hairs thing is a myth.

sticky is good. sticky = lots of trichs = good bud

see if the bud is compressed and out of shape. if it looks like its been squished a lot you at least know it hasn't been handled properly. people that compress bud into bricks for transport are obviously going to cut other corners and the quality will suffer

check for trichs on the surface... the bud should appear frosty like frosted flakes

look for seeds (or the absence of seeds actually)

while bud having seeds doesn't for sure mean its low quality bud, it does mean there was not a ton of care taken while being grown because it was exposed to males. thc is used up in the seed production process, so seeds means theres less thc there than there could be.

but as i said that doesn't always mean its going to be shitty bud, take a very potent plant and let it grow a few seeds. then grow a less potent plant and don't expose it to any males. second one wont have seeds, but the first one will still be more potent because it started out that way.

there really should be no seeds if the grower was worth have a shit, but seeds being there doesn't necessarily mean its going to be shitty bud, but its worth noting

color doesn't matter at all. there is amazing bud that is all shades from brown to purple, you cant use color as any indicator of quality

DO: look for seedless, natural appearing, FROSTY buds and you should be good

And thats where you are wrong. A bright green that I only see with medical accompanies its distinct scent. I always recognize it the second I smell and see it.

I'm pretty sure the color does matter.

And any bud I've had with a lot of orange hairs has been pretty bomb bud.

heh im glad you were able to find at least one thing about my post to dispute, but alas your dispute is folly

saying "i had bright green bud that was really good, so if its not bright green it can't be good" is like saying "i drove in a fast car that was purple, so i know your Z06 is slow because its not purple"

FOLLY I SAY i'd hope you can find the flaw in your logic

most commonly brown or dark colored bud is low quality, but there is plenty of amazing bud out there that isnt candy apple green

ive had/seen/smoked/saw grown tons of blonde and brown buds that were right up there with some of the best neon green shit i've had.

You'll want a distinct chemical taste when you smoke it.

    You like PCP, right?

I never said that, although the bright green medical is the best bud I've smoked I'm not saying that if it isn't bright green it isn't good. I've smoked great purple haired and tinted bud, a deep green bud with red was amazing, great orange hair buds, just plain tints of green that rocked my socks off... Color matters to me in a way, but I have never even seen blond or brown buds myself, just in magazines.

Duh you dumb fuck. Color does matter, but you act like I said that if it isn't bright green it isn't good and that is NOT what I said.

Some of the best weed I've ever had was golden colored, the color of aspen leaves in the fall. Color is a bad indacator of quality, look for freshness, lack of seeds, how frosty it is. Generally fresher weed is better, but there is an excption to every rule. I will say that I've been around and that all the best I've had was fluffly, sticky and strong smelling.
