Also, I seriously cannot believe how many toy recalls there are from there. Our kids are eating lead paint all the time and our dogs are eating melamine...and we still buy shit from there?

I never bought anything from there besides like a turkey baster or something weird at the grocery store if i was cooking something special and needed it then, until is tarted working with kids. i can't find basketballs, , pencils etc that isn't made in china...

 

there are some pencils at borders, they're scented, I believe they're made in canada, with recycled newsprint.

No free press, censorship, political repression, oppression, human rights violations: all have one justification; it's for the good of the country. End of conversation. Such is the joy of a one party state.

Is it ever so simple in the US? Of course not. Our government has to give's all these reasons and excuses for their actions because they have to get reelected. China doesn't have that inconvenience.

corporations in china being bad, doesn't make america any less worthy of it's share of
ragging on...I do prefer though to spend my time ragging on my own country- Canada as it has a decent amount of raggability potential all in itself to keep me busy all day.

But as I'm not a big fan of spending my day on that kind of doom I think I'll go do something positive instead.

plus china tends to be all secretive and whatnot, so people tend to have more info about america than china, hence more material.
