See title^ Been looking since September and have yet to come across anything. I have a job that gives a few shifts a month at this shitty banquet hall serving but it will only last until the first week of January. Tomorrow I have an interview at the local ski hill that I am feeling pretty confident about but if I don't get that I'm pooched! I have $150 left in my bank account and I spend about $40 per week on gas to get to school. They don't piss test here so the job doesn't matter, I just need some ideas on where to apply. So far I have applied at a few grocery stores, couple hardware stores, and a few other random places and out of the 20 or so places I have only had 2 callbacks and I didn't get the other job.
Look for any stores/businesses that have help wanted signs in their windows. Other than that, if you have a mall apply at the stores there. If those don't work, i dont know what to suggest.
ahhh, same problem here... been applying and damn nothing.. getting irritated not working.. but to add to it, try to do some dishes, tons of restaurants are always looking for a new one..
The best place to work is any music store because you can chill and play intstruments all day. But I dont see how this is marajuana related.
^^lol try the olive garden. im sure i've mentioned this before... but anyway as long as you can deal with people you'll be fine. surprisingly even with a screaming economy people still go out to eat. my brother is working there now, and going to school. that or a catering business, people are still getting married, so they are still hiring caterers. my dad got hand scribbled notes from chevy chase when he was here for the DNC. fun things happen in the food business.

pizza places, video stores, radio stations (dunno how much u know about radio, but I've been in radio/tv for several years & its awesome), music stores, video game stores. just some ideas.
I need a job, too, man. $150 in my bank as well...I am not sure if I'm going to apply anywhere though...I probably should :\ I can't pass a drug test right now, or for a couple more weeks...it really limits me. But I think I've had my share of big-time business jobs what with working for Best Buy for 9 months...that was terrible.
yeah, I need a job too. I've been selling weed for a little cash, but my supply has dried up(he got into meth). I have applied at all the nearby places but my area has a ton of prospective employees(college campus) so I doubt I'm going to get hired anywhere. Right now I'm trying to get onto research panels about tobacco smoking, which pay good money for me to take tests and answer questions.
might be an option...the owner of one of the best headshops in town lives down the street from me. Unfortunately he is rarely there when I stop by and he hasn't been there for any of my big ticket purchases so he is unaware of what a good customer I am.

They are The one time I was there a bunch of cop cars drove by and the guy working was like "I hope that's not about the bowl I smoked out front earlier!"
Yea i dont understand workplaces... They put a huge wanted sign out in front so people go in and drop off resumes and then they dont hire anyone.. they just leave the sign out for monthes on end without hiring.. It pisses me right off
No kidding, or they post in in the newspaper. I'll see the same job advertised in the newspaper an entire summer or something. I'm always like really? you really couldn't find one person in three months for that job?
I have been looking for a job since September too, I have handed out CV's, constantly searches online, asked around for friends etc. I avoid minimum wage jobs, because i am capable of many things, and at 17 MW is 3.40 pounds as hour. This recession is really beggining to fuck with me.
