Hello, Well I see I want to be a vegetarian, but I just don't know how to start. This whole world has meat everywhere u go. It's so annoying. And the thing is that I didn't eat meat for about a week or 2,because I promised my friend, and then I don't know I had this BIG urge for meat and school one day, and I had meat, and she saw that I did and she got mad at me. And so now I don't know what to do. I really want to because I just think it is so cruel the way they kill animals and just yeah. Well if u have any suggestion for me plz tell me soon. Love Always, ~ColombianHippie
I agree with Spacer...but if you did want to...don't just stop eating meat right away. Begin phasing it out. Start by having only one meat product a day, then one product everyother day....it's difficult to just wake up and say, I'm not going to eat meat anymore starting TODAY (although I did, doesn't mean everyone else can). Or even phase out red meat, then phase out poultry, then phase out fish. It can be done if you really WANT to. But I agree with Spacer, don't do it just cuz your friend wants you to.
Well I'm not doing just because my friend told me too. I have been wanting to do it for a while, but I just didn't know how to start. Now I'll see if I'll do that. Thank u so much both of u. And I would like to hear more from other ppl. And I do really WANT to. So thank you.
You can get a free "vegan starter booklet" from vegan outreach.com. It has good info on vitamins and things, and answcers to some questions. Also, peta sends out free veg starter booklets as well...... For me going veg was not an overnight thing. It took a little bit of time to get to the point where meat didnt even look appealing anymore and now it repulses me. Just take your time with it.
hello, one of my friends is a vegetarian and he's always telling me how much better it is now that has been vegetarian for 3 years and made me think that I should start but I don't know where to start because I've been eating meat all my life and now I want to change but how do I make that change without quitting and going back to my old habits? Any suggestions?
For me it was all in my mind. I stopped looking at meat as food and began to see it as a dead animal sitting on my table......which is not appealing of course. My love for animals was my reason for going veg anyway, so keeping that in mind all the time, I dont desire to eat animals. At this point it feels wrong and unnatural to do so........ I had been trying to stop eating meat for months untill I finally did.....I felt guilty all the time about it. And finally it just got to the point where I just stopped doing it, and felt my convictions about it were stronger than my desire for a chicken nugget or whatever. And you get used to it of course.....it didnt take me that long, and now I get repulsed by the thought of meat. It wouldnt feel natural at all for me to eat an animal......I could never do it again.
in order to become a true vegetarian, you must sacrifice 3 meat eaters to the god of vegetables, and at least one of those must be a close blood relative.
wow... i think i'll sacrifice my little sister... she hasn't lived long enough to know she's missing out on life.
LOL Totally agree with Elle Compassion over killing cok.net also does a good starter kit, and the site's recipe section is good too. Good luck and blessings
