Awesome! Modest Mouse is my favorite band of all time. And that song is awesome. Their depth and their lyrics/music never cease to amaze me. Moon & Antartica was a phenomenol album.

Isaac is crying out: "I am not who I want to be I probably will not ever be"

I am also facing this same dilemma, although I grasp the concepts intellectually. Who we are is consciousness, the mind tries to overcomplicate this and assume that we have to "pretend to be some identity." Essentially our true identity is when we are going with the tides of life, seeing everything as as singular present moment and not breaking things up with the mind as separate moments where we are different identities.

To accomplish this, you have to feel the source of your mind again. It's tough to explain, as I'm still working on it but it sounds like you might have come to a point where you're ready to start a spiritual transition.

we all are a result of everything around us. Family, friends, teachers, bosses, work associates, circumstances, coincidences, etc etc.. Everything that happens (and has happened) in your life is unique to you. Even the smallest slightest thing helped make you different than the person next to you.
