hey guys, does anyone know where our garbage goes and what they do with it??? isnt the world filling up at a rate faster than we or the Earth can handle, with people and garbage already? when do you think this will propose a serious problem if it does?

Well, I know my county's garbage goes in a big landfill about a mile from my mom's house. It's pretty nasty.

All my trash goes to a gigantic landfill about a half-hour from here called Rumke mountain. The scale of the place is ridiculous. Where there was once a deep valley, there is now a huge mountain of trash. The smell in the hot part of summer is NASTY!!!

If worst comes to worst, we could take all our garbage and dump it in Montana. Nobody needs Montana, and everyone who lives there has a house with wheels, so it shouldn't be an inconvenience.

What about waste-to-energy plants? I think we should have more of those. Take care of space, and create power at the same time, and use it to our advantage. Anyone know why we don't have more of those?

They are very, very dirty. Think about it... burning garbadge to create energy, thats just nasty. God knows what kinds of highly toxic substances find their way into these waste to energy plants. I don't like landfills but I dislike global warming and acid rain even more.
