“The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.”
"If people never did silly things nothing intelligent would ever get done." i knew i had a valid purpose.
Oh. Well I'm not sure if you think that is a bad thing or not. It is odd that you bring it up at all. Late Friday night I had one of those short and fleeting moments in life where everything was serene and I was able to think about things in a rare light. One of the revelations I had, which was not previously unknown to me, but was never presented in my head as elegantly as it was in my head on friday was that I speak clinically, not creatively. Whether the two are exclusive, or whether one is necessary for the other, or whether they are sufficient I hadn't really thought about. I'll know to remember to think about it next time i'm in a like disposition. However, it is indeed a profound thought.
I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves. Gotta admit, thats pretty wamped out :cheers2:
Humor is not a mood but a way of looking at the world. So if it is correct to say that humor was stamped out in Nazi Germany, that does not mean that people were not in good spirits, or anything of that sort, but something much deeper and more important.
Nothing may be truly said to be a miracle except in the profound sense that everything is a miracle. - Paramahansa Yogananda
