He makes really good money...but not for how much he has to work. The military provides tons of opportunity...you just gotta study for those damn tests, which is hard for a lot of people inthe military because they joined as an alternative to going to college. So they base a large eprcentage of their promotions on testing results, but it's a bunch of people who hate studying. I wish I could study and take his tests for him.
I meant in context of how hard they work/how much they're asked to do a lot of people in the private sector are paid way too well to do so little (seriously, look at opticians in this state)

fucking military. I out my foot down last night...I was like seriously...if we can't afford for me not to work than we are not moving to fucking whidby island where I have to take a ferry to seattle so you can go to fucking rome for a day or two. fuck this shit. I am no longer banking my future on his. I am developing my own. We are moving where I fucking want to go to graduate school. If I need to be financialy responsible and work then we need to be fucking equals.
Dude....seriously???? How many people do you know that are "functional members of society" (ie. hold jobs and all that bullshit), that want to get drunk at times? yeah...but pretty doesn't make-up for taking a ferry to work each way 5 days a week and being to far to drive and visit your family. My mom did say if we moved there and I had a baby she would move up to help...but now that we aren't having a baby anytime soon it doesn't fucking matter. We have to wait until Andy's daughter is 18 and he no longer has to pay child support. Which I guess is a responsible thing because I have a feeling her bitch of a mother is going to sue for college support, even though his daughter has a college fund and Andy didn't even know he fucking had a daughter until she was 8.
the thing is too...my family has money-not loads of it anymore since the stockmarket crash...but we wouldn't have to buy the baby a thing.
Lynz, you'll be okay, you can wait to have your baby. and when you can comfortably give said baby everything he or she needs, and only ever have to say no because the baby shouldn't have something, and not because you can't give it to them, you'll feel much better as a parent.
Thank you HUGS I am just so sick of mending other people's fucked up gets only to return them to have their mom undo all the positive concepts I gave them. I want my own kids that no one can hurt and that I can take hiking and not have my 8 year old talk about how many calories she is burning hiking and how her 400 pound mom wnats to put her on the richard simmons diet while they have nothing but junk food and no fruit in their house.
