i used to work at a pizza place. and if i could get a pizza for free, i have no issue with thin crust. but pizza is one of the most disgustingly overpriced products there is. if i'm paying 10-15 bucks for something that cost 2-3 dollars to make, i'm milking it for all i can.
i haven't even seen many zombie movies. dawn of the dead is pretty fucking awesome though. and shaun of the dead is pretty good too. i even went to a "zombie festival" a few months ago. everyone dressed up like zombies, a few bands played, and then there was a zombie survival guide that i have no idea of what it consisted of because i had to leave before that happened. i hope there's not a zombie apocalypse conspiracy going around.
pfft, eyeglasses a polycarbonate single vision lens costs lenscrafters, at most, three bucks. you go check out their prices. it costs around $7 to make most $150 pairs of spectacles.
the zombie survival guide is a deadpan comedy book written by max brooks, the same author of the more serious book world war z: an oral history of the zombie war. he is the son of mel brooks, and for a while was a recent writer for SNL
while not stated, i intended to mean along the lines of food items. but that is surprising. i would have guessed glasses would be very much overpriced, but i would not have guessed to that degree.
I think I paid $20 for my glasses. Thank goodness I had insurance at the time or I would've paid more.
Uhh watched "Lost and Found" at a buddies, we cooked up some delicious pasta, and now I'm going to wax my skis and go to bed. This is going to be a big weekend of backcountry skiing.
I had to work last night even though I really didn't want to, I didn't stay late though. When I got home I had to clean up, so my night wasn't very exciting... though I did get to see Brad asleep with the cat in his arms lol
Well, since I basically partied all week and found a job, I took it easy tonight with the fam. Took a nice amount of oxycodone, xanax and some nice sativa. Had a good dinner and showed 'em how to play Trivial Pursuit and Chess. I also got a a perfect copy of the first issue of possibly my favorite comic book series. :cheers2:
Last night this woman came round to talk to my brother about the incident on monday. Then she left. The rest of my family got in a huge argument. Lots of shouting. Then my brother went to sleep. Lots more shouting. Then i went to sleep. And now my parents seem to be silently mad at each other. eh...
So far I have watched disks 1-4 of the Dark Angel series, emailed a few friends, done a heap of nerd stuff on a proboard, listened to a bunch of songs on youtube, eaten a banana, tried to fend off my mum as she tried to feed me cake - which as I reminded her gives me major headaches. I'm also thinking about getting some ice cream after I post this.
John came home late from work, then he went to the bank. I got paid some money, Im happy because I feel like I'll be able to pay ALL of my bills and my credit card. I hate not paying my credit card in full, it stresses me out. I made dinner for Jack, took a shower. He went to sleep early, John took a shower and wore his new sweater, he looks too cute in it, so Im not letting him wear it We watched Airheads, ate some leftover pizza, watched Avatar, then Brian came over, with his girlfriend or girl he's dating. Jackie, I like her. I also get extra happy when I get to hang out with girls haha They drank beer, I had a cup of coffee and realized how crazy it makes me sometimes, but everybody was buzzy. I went to sleep like at 4:00 Am, actually later than that and then Jack woke up at 7:30 AM, yay.
