Shrooms still legal in holland?

I just read the dutch government is trying to criminalize magic mushrooms for some reason. What's the word on that. I read they're in summer recess or something and they should be illegal by 2009.

I'm planning on going there for my 18th birthday next year and I want to do some good shrooms.

 

if you want bomb shrooms grow your own, go for the Psilocybe azurescens. 2 - 2.5 grams of them will rock your shit hardcore

 

There's a court case going on at the minute to try and keep the mushrooms legal, but sadly it isn't looking good.

It's looking like they'll be made illegal on December 1st and I've already got a trip booked for December 12th.

WOW, i think if it was readily available like marijuana is to the public and it was "legal" in a way that it is in Holland like it is tolerated... all hell would break loose lol or at least a lot of people would have bad trips, cuz in America knowing it is illegal and hard to get and other stuff makes it seem like its a big deal so when people actually try it they resepect it a lot more...

 

I think exactly the opposite. If it were legal than it would be nothing special, like a cup of coffee. When its illegal it becomes a rebellion, a challenge, plus theres no qualified expert to give you advice about that particular strain. By the by, is peyote still available? I remember hearing that it was sold in some headshops, along with mushrooms.

 

A few smartshops have said that they will continue to sell psilocybin mushrooms even though they are now illegall. I'll be in Amsterdam later this month so I'll let you guys know.

The fact that they were tollerated didn't mean that people assumed they would be easy to handle as the people behind the mushroom counters in smartshops would usually ask about your previous experience with psychedelics and advise you which strain and dosage would best suit you, as well as giving you an informative leaflet with general information about shrooms and about the effects.

Yes, peyote (and other mescaline cactus) is still available in the Netherlands.
