ive heard that you can do more damage smoking a pack a day for a month than smoking a oack a week for years

I have nicotine withdrawals everytime Daniel and Jake do because I'm constantly enveloped in secondhand smoke day in day out, lol. When they don't smoke, I don't get my secondhand, so I get cranky and get a headache and all that junk, just to a much lesser extent than them.

Hang in there , take it one day at a time. I quite cold turkey 22 years ago and havent ever touched one since.
It gets easier , the first two weeks are the hardest.
    Just try to keep busy.

I cant smoke but when I can that seems to be all Im doing to catch up.. you have to walk a very far distance aways to smoke to by the time you get there its time to go back in. :( take a longer break and get sick from smoking to much.
    yuck, yuck..

It's true. Your lungs naturally regenerate damage if you give them time (by spacing out your smokes) but if you smoke too furiously the damage builds and builds and builds and even in a short time like a month you can do permanent damage that your lungs cannot repair, because you didn't give them time to.
