I live in a suburb off of Toledo, and I was wondering if I could find any shrooms (not buy, find). I can get them through school, but no one has a digi and I don't feel like gettin' ripped off. Thanks.
If you want information on shrooms go to the website shroomery.org it is really the best site on the net for that, they have lots of info on picking, identifying, and growing as well as a very active community willing to help you out. From all the research I've done, shrooms are pretty hard to find in Ohio, if I remember correctly, there are two species that grow natively in ohio, one being Panaeolus subbalteatus. This time of year I am fairly confident in saying you will find nothing, and with how north you are even during peak season you would have difficulty. Like 99% of the reports on finds I read were all in southern ohio, around cincy and dayton. One good thing though, every time I am walking around hiking or whatever I have stumbled acrossed what appears to be subbs, it never fails. They fit the descriptions perfectly and even look like them, the only problem is that there is alot of copy cat poisonous mushrooms that looks the same. http://www.shroomery.org/9608/Subbe...unting-and-Identifying-Panaeolus-subbalteatus
i found a bunch of Anamitia mushrooms but no cubes out in NE ohio by Ashtabula county. I don't think mushrooms are in season anymore, they usually come out in late summer early fall.
i see digis in every gas station and convenience store in toledo... buy one. much safer and easier than looking in cow poop, which seems to be lacking in the area anyway.
i know there's like 6 or 7 different types of the good shroomies that you can find wild here but most look exactly like one that will kill you.
i havnt been blessed with too many wild psychedelic finds here in ohio. but on the flip side i score a shit ton of edibles around these parts throughout the year lots of different agaricus, gymnopus, pleurotus, and turkey tail when i used to live in florida(destin area) we hunted some psilly's and found them by the pound on a good night. you could probably just get into hunting them down in your closet. that would be my best bit of advice to you its quite a simple process to grow cubensis and you may even take on mycology with a fiery passion. i got the myco bug a few years back and havnt been able to kick it since i started http://www.mycotopia.net this link is a great place to start, friendly people LOADS of information to start packing in
