Cronos - a little-known horror movie

Okay, maybe I'm posting prematurely, because I'm only about 10 minutes into this movie. It's from the old release section at Blockbuster. The movie is called "Cronos," and it's about an old antiques dealer who finds a small scarab-like machine that can bestow eternal life. It was made 400 years ago by an alchemist who fled from the Inquisition to Mexico. The movie is in Spanish, since it's Mexican-made by Guillermo Del Toro, who has done other acclaimed stuff. The box said this was a Cannes award winner! So far it's pretty good! Anyone else here seen it?

is it worth me watching it? cos i've really run out of things to watch lately. i really liked Guillermo del Toro's other stuff anyways. me thinks i should investigate.
