It pisses me off soooo much when people come to this freaking forum just to say that Christians are hypocrites and judgemental and God isn't real and stuff! Augh! Seriously! Get a life! And stop assuming and stereotyping that since you once met an asshole Christian, everyone who belongs to the religion is like that! Yeah, there ARE the ones out there who say that Chrisitanity is the ONLY right way to God, and that gays are going to hell, and that don't follow the bible's teachings while preaching them, and that try to convert EVERYONE, but I'm sick oF hearing about it! Deal with it! We're not all like that! No! I do not agree with nor believe nor take literally every single thing in the bible! I don't quote Jesus in every example, and I don't believe it's the only right way. Yes, I have friends who are Pagan, Wiccan, Protestant, Athiest, and Agnostic. I love God with all of my being, but I don't use it as an excuse to judge or bring harm to others. Just because, like, 1 in a hundred Christians are all cult-ish and crazy and literal about it, does not give you the right to hate all Christians.
Quote: Just because, like, 1 in a hundred Christians are all cult-ish and crazy and literal about it, I believe she's talking about you Epiphany
Epiphany- An observation of mine; Sunburst's description does identify you to some degree... Sunburst- Perhaps if you opened up to other religions --learned about them and from them-- you would not be pinned as a 'christian', either by yourself or others. Just a thought... I like what you have said.
Surely its the same as christians going to other forums and trying to 'convert all the sinners'? We all gotta rant, but lets try to understand why we all get to the rant stage, then we may all just get along a bit better!
I have met WAY more than one asshole christian... But I have to say, it is kind of rude to come over and start threads like "Your god sucks!" Not because it is wrong to think that way, but it is much nicer to show some tact and respect for another person's beliefs (christians could take a major lesson from that too, though). So they should probably find a nicer way to post their feelings. I think what has gotten this forum so much attention lately is the fact that people like Epiphany, campbell and some others have started taking this stuf out of the cirsitanity forum and into the political forums, so I think we just have some frusterated individuals with that. Respect goes both ways, ya know.
When you become more secure in your beleifs and in yourself, you will care less what other people say.
sorry but i find the most indignance comes from the christians who tell other christians that they are more rightous. as for those who blame us for the acts of our forefathers. to them we should all learn to say get a fuckin life.
Looking through the threads on this forum it seems the majority are either just attacking Christianity to begin with, or else soon turn into mutual flaming by all parties. This is sad, as it makes any serious discussion very difficult - hence I rarely post here.
