Ok, you can try to explain this in the usual terms, but what about me? This is not something that always happened to me. If it was part of my biology I would have had it my whole life. Then the question is, why the sudden change? One again I want to say it is an incredible FEELING. it isn't goose bumbs, they are not associated with the feeling at all. It is more. It is like energy flowing through my body. It is wonderful. You can explain everything in physical terms, but that never answers the question why. Why did this happen recently, why does it feel so good, why isn't it random, why does it start in my brain and work its way out? Like I said, I enjoy this feeling as much, if not more, than orgasm. Why? Random~Lol. I was thinking. I have never seen a wolf in my life. Last week I saw one walking down the side of the road towards me. This weekend I decided to watch Wolf's Rain (an anime) because I was talking with my sister. I keep getting the feeling while watching it. I didn't even think about the wolf from last week until I started watching it, and as soon as I remember, I came here to post. Fun coincidence.
I'm so glad I found this as this is something that I've been wondering about for about a year, maybe a little longer. Anyway, I feel the same thing as you, Draves, in that it is almost orgasmic for me. The thing that's different for me, however, is that it only happens to me when listening to certain songs. When it happens, it tickles so much that it makes me laugh, and I can "choose" when to feel it and when to stop feeling it. Stopping is more difficult though, once I get into it. For me, it always starts in the back right side of my brain and travels down my spine and right side. Like you, it's definitely not goosebumps! The best I can come up with is that some kind of really strong electrical current travels through our nervous systems, the result of something perceived by the brain, then sent to the hypothalamus. Which actually makes sense considering that "goosebumps" are actually a result of the sympathetic nervous system (responsible for "fight or flight), with which the hypothalamus is intimately involved. I'm going to look more into this, but I also believe there is more to it than biological response. Yay! I thought I was all weird before
That's exactly how I felt when I found this man's original post. I was very relieved that I wasn't alone; you aren't either. I just wish we could find out why... You said you have been wondering about the feeling for a little over a year. Is it something that just started happening a little over a year ago for you? I am very curious now because this only started happening to me a little over a year ago. Any clue on why? If you get it from music I suggest picking up some novels; chances are, you will get the feeling from that too. Hrm...crazy times we live in. :lurk5:
well personally, I would say it comes from the Earth, from where it goes to your chakras. that's my take at least. why it doesn't occur randomly, is because you direct it. when you know somethings coming it isn't really random is it?
I don't know when it will happen. I know what can trigger it, but it is not something I can control or predict. It also confuses me because this hasn't been a life long thing; it only started happening about a year ago. Do you get this?
it might be Kundalini, but I don't want to say that for sure because I don't really know you. just google that word, see what you get.
i felt that too before! its weird but i also get that tingling feeling in school. not because of the learning thingy. lol but when someone puts their foot in the rack under my desk and shakes it, it vibrates the chair and it gives me that tingle. i love it. some people find it annoying but when they stop i'm like "awww..."
I too feel the same. And you are right for such feelings it has to be something that hits your emotion.
hey i get that same thing when ever somone tells me a lesson that they learned that i feel is important or even some songs as well as phrases and i want to know exactly what it is because as it feels good i cant help but wonder what is really goin on anybody figured this out yet?
Bump. I believe that it is the kundalini. I'm going to look into practicing it. How do you trigger it, Gothic bunny?
