Aloe plant

    you slide a knife from the tip of the leaf down to the bottom right in the middle of the leaf, then you spread it out and scoop out the transparent gooey stuff with a spoon.

    i read somewhere here about putting the gooey stuff in a blender to to make applying it easier.
    blending the aloe is also good for storing a large amount in a jar for future use :)

    Yeah, if you're going to go through this whole process from the plant, you might as well get a tinted jar and fill 'er up while you're doing it. Saves you time in the end.
