Thanks ummm, dude from New Haven?

It's about time her party turned against her.

Any original thoughts of your own for once maryjohn?

    the backbiting is quite interesting.

from messianic savior of karl rove's legacy, to scapegoat for the failure of divisive politics.

sorry about your toast. did you scrape, or start over?

her career, by the way, is toast.

a few right wing camps want to make a stand, and are supporting a public shaming of the "unnamed sources" letting the truth out about the caribou barbie

I was wondering why she was crying at McCain's concession speech. What a bummer about returning the clothes. :)

On the lighter side, Palin may be able to hold special elections for a possible open Senate seat depending on what happens with convicted felon Sen. Stevens of Alaska. So, she may be in the news again. Good for drama queens.

I know someone out there knows exactly what she bought. I am going to be interested to see whether it's auctioned off at Sothebys or Ebay. And just what is missing. I am impressed that the fashionistas haven't been giving us a blow by blow of just exactly what she has worn. They know, it's my guess some sort of badge of courage that they haven't leaked it throughout the campaign.

Obama was supposed to be the elitist, prima donna/celebrity. Wasn't he? Isn't that what the McCain ad about Paris Hilton was all about? What the shit was the McCain campaign thinking? I'd like to know how much his consultants were paid, they fucked up royal. What did he do hire nothing but fresh out of college marketeers, that spent most of their college careers at parties?

Every step was a misstep. And we were supposed to believe he could protect us?

Unlike his performance in Vietnam he can never claim this as part of some sort of heroic service.

I’ve already said that – “To me Sarah Palin stinks of a dead end and I think many on the right smell that too”
Neo-cons fall, who’ll rise on the right?
    http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=333692&f=36

My hope would be that the right don’t see this and do try to build her up (or someone of similar persuasion) for 2012 because that I believe would put the Republicans out in the political wilderness for even longer.

(Although 4 years is a long time in politics and what the future brings is one of those ‘known unknowable’s’)

Whatever happens I think the Republicans have some problems to overcome because the right leaning alliance they formed over the last 30 years seems to be crumbling.

The ones that joined the right as a backlash to the supposed ‘permissive and progressive sixties’ and as a reaction to the 1965 Civil Rights Act (Johnson on signing it into law predicted that it would loose the south for the Democrats for a generation) are getting overtaken by demographic changes and the free marketers’ have been overtaken and humbled (for the moment) by events.

Did you see that interview about her on FoxNews?

You can watch it and laugh with me here:

Oh, and I started over with my toast. It was so burnt, the fire alarm went off. D'oh. >_<

I'm not sure I agree that she cost him votes. Without her, the social conservative base was pretty lukewarm. After picking her, many on the right were suddenly motivated. Notice, she drew bigger and more enthusiastic crowds.

So in the end, did she cost him more votes than she secured? I'm not so sure.

She's something else. I waiting to see her clothes auctioned off on ebay or Sotheby's. But this latest revelation says it all to me:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/wor...ers-head-Alaska-150-000-campaign-clothes.html

God help us in ten years, right now we can't afford her.

Gardener I think that you secretly wanted McCain to win, that way you could talk about Palin everyday for the next 4 years. Now that the stories are drying up all you can do is cling to old news. What are you going to do when she is no longer in the headlines? Did you get your subscription to the Anchorage Daily yet?

Actually what I am attempting to do is make sure she is never seen as a viable candidate for anything in the future.
