why do they always have the woman cleaning up on these comercials and the man sitting down if I were married or living with a man we both would have to do our fair share
while that's true, there are generalizations and stereotypes in commercials ALL the time. They might show the man as a lazy jackass who does nothing. people need to understand that, no one can pick and choose.
"if" is always easier said than done. most men require training; do the dishes, get some anal vaccuum, morning head, etc.
training? Man I'm glad I don't want to be in a relationship I was engaged 9 years ago and my fiancees mom said "see how he leaves his clothes around? You will have to pick up his mess all the time." Glad that day never came haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as a feminist that would totally piss me off if he did it on purpose expecting me to pick it up
To tell you the truth...A commercial in which the man is cleaning and the woman is sitting down, would be kinda silly in my opinion. And if I was married, I would probably be the one who cooks and cleans and all that. It would just be too weird if I watched TV while my man is doing the dishes or something. I think I just wouldn't feel like a woman, if that makes any sense. :leaving:
I don't like how they make the men look like dumb idiots who need a mommy. Those commercials are completley sexist for both sexes. I would be pissed if I were a man.
I think ALL of the maids/housekeepers should be men and all women should work in the field of construction. Hope that makes everyone happy.
okay that's may be good for you but not me would it be fair to work full time and your man to work full time but you end up doing all the work around the house and have no time to yourself, while your man does? to each their own
exactly. If we ever go back to me working full-time we are so getting a maid because we fought way too much about housework.
Yeah, probably. Its just the way I was raised. My dad won't even get up and get himself a glass of water if me, my sis or my mom are around
I'll trade a few minor disagreements about cleaning for good conversation, cuddles and all my bills being paid. Trust me, being single is a lot harder..
Oh I know it is. Most of the men here are like that. If there is a woman around, they just won't do anything. I don't blame them, women just let them get away with so much And its sad that I'm no better than those women
Its a cultural thing, its the same here too where I live. I don't think its sexist either. So quit whining and pick up the damn mop! (j/k )
Ahahahahaha, I only wish Daniel would do the dishes. He cooks, so it's usually fair, but I've taken up a fair share of the cooking now, too, because I get tired of waiting for him to cook, and he still won't wash the dishes. It's a never ending battle and I hate dishes SO MUCH.
