I have a cat who few people truly understand. She is truly the sweetest cat I know. She's a little shy around stranger and very sensitive and intelligent. She decides who she likes, and thats not a whole lot of people, she likes me, my best friend and my mother. She's litteraly affraid of my boyfriend and liked none of my other friends, they could pet her when I would hold her, but if on the ground she'd run from them. She's litteraly the sweetest cat I've never known. Not the most extroverted or cuddly cat I've never known though. Her sweetness is different. For example she'd never hurt anyone, absolutely never. Its like she has no nails or teeth, but she definatly has them, but she'd never use them on a human (the furniture however..). If she doesn't like something, she'll walk away, or hold her paw out without nails as a signal of 'please don't do that'. She's a little shy as I said before, but to me and others she trusts she's amazing. She'll come to you and purr sooo loud, and she then roles on her back and lets you pet her belly, she has the softest belly ever, white long thick soft fur on her soft cute littly belly She can sit to close to you it seems like she wants to crawl inside of you, and when she's enjoying the petting her movements are slow, like in slow motion, and she roles around. She'll hold your arm with her paw (no nails, as she never uses them around people), and give cat kisses to your hand. People don't understand her very well, they think she's boring and not very affecionate because they don't bother to truly get to know her. They instantly love my other cat, who is really extroverted and runs up to anyone, sits on their lap, in their neck, pushes her head in your hand etc. But they don't see Flora's true beauty. They see her beautiful outside, because Flora is an amazingly beautiful cat, bred by a show cat breeder and her looks are amazing. But they fail to see her personality is just as beautiful as she looks on the outside, she truly is an amazing cat. I've never loved a cat so much as her, she's truly special I just wanted to share that. If you want to see a picture of her, I have about 200 (she's by the way a norwegian forest cat, now 8.5 months old, and appearantly her personality is exactely right for a norwegian forest cat, naturally reserved but very sweet and very affectionate with who she trusts)

I have a cat just like that, her name is Trixie and she's about a year old now.The picture was taken when she was about 3 months old.Now she's sorta a local celebrity because she goes with me almost everywhere in her carrier of course, haven't had the time to train her to walk on a leash yet.
What a pretty cat! She sounds like a real sweetheart! We have two of our own, and one of them is shy, like yours but still so nice to me and my parents. He used to never come sit on your lap and now he does, he has overcome his fears on his own! His little brother is the terror of the block, but to every human he is very kind. He will bust his head up against your nose, that is, strangely a sign of affection
