Ive heard that tylenol can be bad for your stomach if you take too many, so i was wondering if ibuprofen is too. I usually take 6 a day, 3 in the morning for killer headaches i always get for some reason and 3 right before football practice.

Yes, it can give you ulcers. I have to be careful because I get ulcers easy.... they are not joke. If you take them that often they are prolly the 200mg, I would see if you could get a higher dosage for you are taking less pills.

Ohhh yeah. I used to take tons of OTC pain med cocktails when I had a rotty tooth and now I can hardly take one ibuprofen without getting a bad stomachache, and I can't take acetaminophen by itself without getting sick. I can take Excedrins, just not straight up Tylenol. Weird.

It can wear out your stomach. Too much Tylenol can cause liver problems.

Like the others said, it can cause potential problems, especially with bleeding ulcers.

What I would do if I were you, since you're having these headaches so often, perhaps you could check with your doctor about taking something that may be more safe in order to manage the pain? If you're having migranes, there are prescriptions specifically for that.

What I'm wondering is, you mentioned that you wake up in the mornings with these headaches. I myself wake up many mornings like that due to sinus pressure headaches. Many times once I start sneezing it relieves the pressure and my headache lets up. Do you have allergies?

And I'm assuming that you've seen a doctor for your headaches, had the typical tests run: CT's, MRI's, that kind of deal)? If not, you should think about it.

    Take care.
