Do you allow non-vegetarian items into your home? Say you have a pot-luck or someone unexpectedly brings a snack that contains meat......what do you do?
I clicked "under no circumstamces is meat allowed in our home", simply because we dont very often have guests round, and when we do they eat our food anyway because were pretty awesome cooks I cant stand the smell of meat and we only have a very small apartment, I wouldnt be too happy if someone brought in chicken wings or some crap Our home is OUR sanctuary However weve never really found ourselves in that situation, so I cant say for sure
hmmm, i would have to think about that. i would prefer it not be prepared in our home, but if someone brought in their own food or whatever that had meat in it, it probably wouldn't bother me TOO much as long as i didn't have to wash the plates afterwards.
My family is not vegetarian, so I will buy meat for them. Sometimes I'll still cook it for them too, though my husband has become rather proprietary about meat & prefers to cook it himself lately. Don't think I've forgotten HOW to cook it properly, I think he's just getting better in the kitchen & has decided to spare me. (NOT that I'm complaining, mind you!) love, mom
I live with non-veggies, and I ate meat for the best part of 18 years, so the smell doesn't bother me really. I won't buy or prepare it for people, but what they do/eat doesn't really interest me that much.
On occasion. I don't buy it (this is not counting cat kibble) but i will prep or talk my kiddo through a new method. I can handle cooking it, but the dishes get to me. The guys know that I am not so thrilled and they handle their own animals. They are quite good about "contamination" and keep their critter food far from my plate.
I live with people that eat meat and it doesn't bother me. They never make anything that makes the house reek of meat juice or anything hah. I'm not gonna be a control freak and tell people they can't eat meat, course I will share my views with them. If someone brings their own food I'm not gonna complain. I won't make people anything with meat in it though... But I don't usually cook for anyone except my boyfriend.
