I don't think so. Seems the campaign aides are letting it all out now.

Hey! Now I have Maria Callas singing "Casta Diva" running through my head.

Nothing chaste about Palin, but what a diva. Good luck running your state, now that you've alienated all the suckers you thought you were leaving behind. In 2012, she is going to have an actual record as an executive.

After her rediculiously stupid interview answers on national telivison... no way would she EVER get my vote.

Plus we just got our new prsident and she is OUT. A lot can happen in four years.

I heard that she believes that dinosaurs are 6,000 years old. hha

Well Fox News is venting about her in earnest now. Stories about how she couldn't name the countries involved in the NAFTA agreement. She was convinced Africa was a country not a continent.

I hope I never hear another word about Sarah Palin. If ever there was any one person who embodied all the things I dislike about American politics and culture, it's that woman....

for my part, I hope the National Review board of directors finds a replacement for William Kristol, who has thoroughly discredited himself by foisting her on the McCain campaign.

Wow, you must not have much knowledge of American politics and culture. That or you are wearing some damn good blinders. You've obviously never heard of gay sex scandals involving underage boys. :)

Bill Kristol is the grand wizard of the neo-cons he'll come out of this unscathed, much like Rove always seems to do.

I care because certain high powered political consultants thought they could manipulate the vote through nominating a totally unqualified individual as a vice presidential candidate. And in doing so they allowed her to spew hatred and race baiting at every rally. She incited racial, religious and class hatred. And this country doesn't need that today or four years down the road.

  12. Good point, and I agree.

I was mostly saying who cares @ the people who wish Palin will be president in 2012.

Right from the outset, the Soccer Mom thing didn't work for me. Sure, she was/is refreshingly bright and cheerful, but it took only one post-convention interview to convice me she didn't know poop about the world. The Katie Curioc thing and her mumblingstumbling answers made my ears bleed.

She thought that Africa was a nation? Yikes. And that the Vice President is "in charge" of the Senate? Wow. And this woman is home schooling her kids? Gazooks. So much for progressive education reform.

Someone noted that Fox News (aka, Conservative Republican Broadcasting Network) was actively frying her this morning to be sure she had no chance in 2012. It was likened to lions eating their young.

She was the death-rattle of the wingnut era. She embodied all of its willful ignorance, intolerance, and self-righteous arrogance in one hell of a marketable media package (T n' A).

She was the uber-wacko. And she turned off more than 50 percent of the country. There can only be hope in this.

Has anyone ever seen the movie "To Die For"? Sarah Palin is the Nicole Kidman character. Dead on. Check it out.

(She also reminds me of Reese Witherspoon's character in the movie "Election.")

Both of these roles are so well done that I have hated both actresses ever since. I cannot separate them from those characters. They are Sarah Palin. Scary thing is, she's a real person. Sorta.

Kind of a silly comparison Wacky.

Palin embodies a movement. The scandals are aberrations on a small scale.

We're talking about politics, not the Catholic church.

I want Sarah Palin to represent the new face of the Republican Party. This is because I want the GOP to become a despised minority party restricted to ignorant racists and selfish rich people. I want decent Americans to leave that party and wonder why they ever voted Republican.

    Good point Scribe.

    Go Palin!

As Keith Olberman said last night. "Just keep talking, Sarah. Please. Keep talking ..."

I think all the Schadenfreude should be savored for a short time, but really you should be careful what you wish for.

A healthy debate and a healthy opposition are crucial to good governance.
