hey, i know that ketchup is acidic enough you can store it unrefrigerated for a while and it will be ok. but how about hot sauce? it is full of vinegar. i got a bottle of franks recently (cause its all they had except tobasco) anyway, i got it cause sometimes i get like fried chicken sandwiches or something for lunch from the cafeteria, and i like hotsauce for it. but i dont want to keep it in the refrigerator if i dont have to, cause i like the sandwich to stay hot
i figured it was ok, i just wasn't positive. i so rarely buy hot sauce. when i do i really really like cholula's garlic chili stuff. its my favorite. but franks is ok for chicken. just not AS good.
not really a condiment but I refrigerate my peanut butter only cause I buy the all natural kind that you have to stir....
we keep out hot sauce in the fridge, but i'm pretty sure it's not necessary... don't restaurants usually keep their hotsauce on the tables with the ketchup? does mustard need to be refrigerated? condiments take up way too much space in our refrigerator... i should check these things out
about the only thing id worry about putting in the fridge is mayo or any other salad dressing with egg or milk.. other than that i wouldnt worry about any of it. pickles, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, soy sauce etc. etc. are all fine out of the fridge..
