funny, i believe the "President" no matter who he is can only do little to help your country, even tho its our society in its entirety that needs to change. We need to think about the future of our existence and ask what we want to achieve as a race and further more how to achieve it.

You Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a black man as president!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesnt that give you goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!! Our country has come such a long way.....Im truly proud to be an American right now! This is a huge step for civil rights in our country....Im not saying Obama is the answer to all our problems but he's def a step in the right direction in my opinion! WoooooooHoooooooo!

He's a man that should be treated as one of any color and judged like any man of any color. And if you judge is political policies by his voting record he hasn't done anything for change. I like to stay positive.....I figure....he cant do any worse than good ol GW. Regardless of how you feel....all poitics aside....it's really historical that we have a black man as president! Just think of all the black people who have been killed over the years trying to promote equality and justice....they would all be so proud to know that their death was not in vain....we have made progress from a civil rights standpoint. And that is why Im so friggin happy right now! In regards to politics...like I said....Im not so sure Obamas the answer to all our problems. But I do not think he's going to turn our country into a socialist regime! I think thats a little absurd and extreme. yeah...he might try for universal healthcare...and yeah we might not be out of the war as quickly as most would like....but I do think our country deserves to try something new.....obviously all the "qualified" white guys thus far that have ruled our country haven't done that great of a job....in fact they are the reason our country is on the verge of collapse! So......i think electing somebody with a complete different background will possibly be beneficial....all we can do is wait and see.....

) cant afford food let alone a roof or healthcare..if even 1% of the millions a day the top 1% made was funneled down to the poorer ppl of the country they'd be able to afford houses, be able to afford food and lets not forget they'd be able to buy shit..that would save the economy..after all these 1% at the top cannot possibly spend millions a day no they stockpile it sitting on billions of dollars that are doing noone any good at all and certainly not helping the economy or the country
so tell me exactly how ecvil it will be to have everyone able to afford 6to live?

if 1% of the useless wealth stickpiled by the top billionairs being redistributed meant a 25% increase inthe rest of societies asbility to survive in tough times..if it meant a massive boost to the economy that permenantly dragged us out of a slump and put us on a path to having every american able to afford what we need to survive and be healythy then how exactly is thios such an evil thing? oh yea uts ecvil only because that super rich 1% labled it with that evil word...
think for a momment about what it means not the demonizing label but what the actual changes would do for us

every president votes for the redistribution of wealth they cant help it the flow of wealth is regulated by tax codes
and many other things

but too many have voted to redisytribute the wealth outta the hands of the common people into the hands of the elite
come on why yjhe hell douesnt it piss you off to work 2-3 jobs 16+ hours a day and barely be able to afford to just get too and from work every day and be able to sleep with a roof over your head while the elite get tax breaks that enale them to make an extra 8 million a day that they will never in theyre lifetime ever be able to spend
why is it you work so fucking hard and all the money goes somewhere else?
we've had enough wealth redistribution already to nearly destroyt the economy
we wont survive as anation if some of that wealth doesnt end up in the hands of the magority
and just the tiniest pincjh outta theyre bloated overstuffed pockets would be a saving security to the masses..

First off I just wanna say congratulations to Obama for winning americas latest reality tv show. And I dont care what color his skin is, the fact is, he just took the worst job in americas history. There is nothing he can do to completely 180 this country in 4 years. Change takes time, and as americans we seriously lack the patience it will take to see change happen. So all of you obama haters (for whatever the reason) dont worry, when he cant fix all of our problems in 4 years the people will turn on him and some will say they were right and a black man cant run this country and others will say it was because he just didnt have the experience to handle the job and others will come up with new reasons over the next 4 years. But one thing is for sure, even if the war stops and the economy gets better we will still find something to complain about. Its what we do best.

I was angry at first, now just sad...

 

on his acceptence speecgh didnt he specifucly sayhe couldnt do it all alone in 8 (not 4) uears/ i doint think that was a slip. i think hes well aware that he will have to be reelected to accomplish most of what he promiced
he is taking on the toughest job there has been in the past several hundred years trying to fix so mamny mistakes of the past 8
after bush i had serius doubts we'd ever be able toi recover from the messses he caused and i definately do not think anyone even obama can fix it all in just 4 years..
but lets also remember it wasnt just 8 years of dubya that screwed us so badly but 2 generations of that family that systematicly screwed us
if obama can fix 1/3 of the dammage done by the bushes then hed accomplish what seeemned practicly impossible..
1/3 may not be enoiugh change to satisfy many, but hell any step in the right directions better then a leap poff the cliff in the wrong direction
do i think he'll solve everything in 4 years? hell no..nobody could.. do u think things will get better over the next 8? yes very much but not enough..not as much as we need
it could take 15 years of the right leadership to fully recover from the mess bushes created
but at least now some mnay have a lil hope for life beyind 2012

 

by the way...whats so wrong about universal healthcare? Why do people complain about that soooo much? Private Dr.'s will still gladly accept private checks for all those who want privaticized healthcare....so uh.....Im just confused on that argument!
