music you listen too then all of a suddenly they get these good reveiews on there music then thety change there style all because they heard good reveirws then all of a sudden they are singing about some sappy shit so!!! how are these3 people you listen to then all of a sudden they change the way they sing and present there selves because they get all riled up about how these people feel about there music there all like "yeah these people feel good towards my music" then they change there music after they realize how these people feel aft6er listening to there music so i guess what i am asking whitch artist did you realized that changed after gettin famous?
hmmm.... Good Charliot did (I always hated them cause they are commercial shit).... Greenday did (another fake band) But before they got big they were different.
part of the problem is that when you are nobody you have all the time in the world [and all the motivation] to do your best work, to make great music fame is a lot of fucking work and it is so much easier to regurgitate your last record than convince a record company you owe $$$$$ to give you a break from touring or whatever [i do not mean to sound like i have any sympathy for this]
String Cheese. God love 'em but they had something, pulled a crowd when another band went down, and then... got strange. i'm all good with new projects, or logical explorations, but this was aimed at the new audience with a yeah, so feel to the oldtimers.
Journey is a great example. First 3 albums they did were one of the best prog rock bands ever, then they sold out by getting the caterwallin of Steve Perry and going to a more mainstream style of rock and then continued to pop rock. Such a shame as well, because those first 3 albums were and will always be the best thing Journey ever did.
i only remember the 1st lp as being kinda prog they played my high school in 76, doing kinda straightforward rock stuff [2nd lp] if memory serves ['on a saturday night' could hardly be called prog] firing aynsley dunbar was nearly as bad as hiring steve perry
