maybe ppl donated a bunch of their wierd halloween throw-aways its a half hour walk... i dont want to be disappointed if they dont have anything good. thats the thing about thrift stores, they either have a bunch of really cool stuff, or crap.
do you live in boston? there is a good one up by MIT. you can roll over on top of mounds of clothes. that's the cool part.
i live in a small town in missouri, i got some SWEEEEEEEEET boots, a cool shirt, and a couple grandma scarves. if only i had a damn truck and my man didnt raid my purse again, they had alot of small excercise equipment that would be perfect for our extra room. and a beautiful white leather couch set everyone was eyeing, but no one had bought yet, but ppl were trying to get it held. i dont like laying down and relaxing on leather though. 3 houses busted by cops on my walk . sheeeesh. one house had 5 cop cars. meth lab maybe?
I was confrused. I love book shopping at thrift stores. Ive found Mercury of Venus by Anïse Nin and My favorite childhood book, IN PAPERBACK Ella Enchanted for 55 cents!!!!! I squealed in the store.
We call then Opp "oppertunity" shops here. St Vincent De Paul "Vinnies" is a pretty good one here. Good Sammy's are a real rip-off though. I love them, but yeah as GhOsTLyRiC said it's all about chance, you cant expect to find something everytime you go out. About 70% of my clothing once came from an opp shop and I love collecting the old tapes and records.
