This Friday (halloween) I picked up a 2 foot Pachanoi with a bigger than normal diameter, de-spined it, and cut each ridge off leaving me with a bunch of big strips of cactus. I ate two of them with a method of chewing and sucking all the juices and spitting out the material to reduce gut problems, but I couldn't eat any more it was too much. I was definately altered from that small dose, but I have tripped full-on off of the boiled down juice so I know what the real experience is like.

Now heres my situation; I have a big bag with alot of cucumber-like strips of cactus wrapped in newspaper. Next Friday is going to be another good party, so it seems right to eat the rest there. I have no proper means of boiling them down at the moment, nor a dehydrator to make chips. Eating them fresh looks like my only option, so I will probably get some salt and lime juice to make them more palatable. My only confusion is on if they will stay good or not. Oxidation or mold or something could muck them up,

...so if anybody has advice on storage or easy recipes to make the eating more palatable, or if you know a good way to dry cactus, I would love your input, thanks peace love unity respect :)

put them in an oven on a low heat. or just leave them out on a tray out of the sun.

definetly try drying them in an oven at 175 for 4-6hrs. or dry them in the sun on a tray. you could freeze them. Or put them in a blender and juice them and store it in a cool place.

sweeet, gonna sundry them. when I say party I mean party like akin to a rave party but with less people and outdoors. thank you for all of your help guys, I wish you all a good weekend.

hey ancient powers from socal, me too, the nights have been chilly here ever since halloween, not good for partying outdoors. can't complain though still got year round free cactus tripping right?
