I need a little help here

I dont have any problems with smell everybody smokes it here so not unusual t come home n find everywhere stinking of mj. That cutting looks nice bet it will yield quite a few sprogs in a month or two. In theory it should be possible to keep ya mother plants going 4 years if ya careful with it. Ps ya never said how the plants that u pinched the heads turn out? Hehe works dont it? But yep very worrying first time.

 

Yeah, the pinched plants fell over, recovered and went for the light again. The stalks have scars on them. I'll try to get a pic or two. It's hard to know exactly what's going on under that screen but I'm going to have a few nice long tight buds and I still have 3 to 5 weekis until harvest. I'm hoping I can grow Mom in time to take cuttings. I have 2 85w 5000 spectrum CFL's that I plan on using and a bubbler. Can I take cuttings from the plants that are in flowering and just give them 24 hours of light to get them to Veg or is it to late?

Never seen that happening b4 and i always pinch the main head on every plant I've ever done hmm hmm hmm. Hard t say about taking cutting in bloom I've done them at 3 weeks before and yep there've taken but does take a few extra weeks 4 them t shake off the bloom and start vegging up again. only trouble i can see is you need young fresh growth for cuttings so ya could end up taking the best part of the crop in cuttings.

To Orison, the first pic is my attempt at taking a pic of my pinching. I know it's a lousy but it's the best of 3. I'm amazed that I don't smell a dam thing in that garage and I hardly smell anything other than the stink of the ghetto CO2 device. I might be redundant but after looking around for a box and not finding one I'm going to go and get a bunch of 2" by 2" and particle board and slap one together real quick and dirty. As far as my plants go, I'm feeding them to the max, like fruit. I mist them with a light solution daily. New growth looks good older leaves have yellowing going on.

Hi All,
I made some modifications to my set up. First I put air rocks into the area when the Autovalves are located. My other Mod is the addition of 2 85w 5000 spectrum CFL grow lights. The way I see it, it can't hurt. If I'm wrong please let me know.

Cuttings in flowering can be done, but since the stem is like getting tough, I wouldnt. If you have lower growth and its light yellow and flimsy. Id try some of those back unhardened branches. They usually take cause they are dying to grow and they might not be getting enough light under. Ive broken off tops and hard branches and tried to recover them, not any luck there. But again you can still try.

 

Hi all, I'm really getting worried, my plants don't look good at all. I'm 37 days into flowering and I have yellowing leaves, wilting and spotting going on. I cut back on my Nuits, added lights and fans. It's strange I haven't changed a dam thing, I keep my PH and PPM at 6.0 and 950. I don't want to lose this if possible, what can I do to fix it?

Oy... i wish you put those pics in the other thread...

When's the last time you flushed them? That looks more like a ph or salt buildup issue.. lockouts man.

That clawing up effect, twsting... leads me to believe you're having lockout issues..

 

Yeah, that's what I've been told. The Medium Is Coco and Perlite, I flush them every fill ( 1 time a week) in a very mild Nuit solution.
I've dropped the PH down under 5.7, I've added air rocks to the valves, added fans and light and I even brought the Temp of Nuits from 60F to 55F. Lets see what happens.

hum. Sorry I missed that. I agree with Ninfan77.
In this case this is what I would do..
I would flush the hell out of it with neutral water, make sure my drainage was good..
Id give them a day or two away from heavy lighting.. Then revert them back to 18hrs on..
You might see this as a major set back. But (1) your flower tops are the only things that didnt get a harsh burn. Thankful for that, These will make excellent new branching when coming back. Might be even better than your first run. You do it right youll have big bushy tops. Bring em back for a month, the strongest ones are keepers..
If they dont Genderbend the buds will be hugh and vigorous.
( is this a hydro garden)??? i dont know anything about that, Ive had this happen in soil.

 

55F water seems a bit chilly... but... 5.7ph for coco.. granted i dont' use it.. i know for soil a ph of 5.7 would be REALLY low.. hell that's too low for hydro too...

In my soil grows ph should hang around 6.3-6.5 and hydro 5.8-6.3

And when you flush.. do it with NO nutes in the water.

 

Hi All, I hope the weekend has been good to all of you. As far as my garden goes, I've lowered the PH to 5.3, lowered the PPM to 850 added air stones to the valves and flushed the shit out of the pots with distilled water.
I have to finish this grow ASAP my old lady is giving me a super hard time. The bitch even told me she's leaving me (who gives a shit) I wouldn't feel safe doing this with her out of the house. She's going to be history by Thanksgiving cause I'm going to serve her with divorce papers. Don't marry them until you live with them, this one is VISIOUS and will try to fuck me good. Thank God for Pre-nups she gets nothing. Sorry about venting.

By the time the fluids get to the pots it warms up quite a bit. It's a Main tank and lines to the pots. I'm letting it dry out for a while, I flushed until the water was clear. The main feeding valve is off. I sponged out all the excess water from the leaching and I'm going keep the valve off for a while.

Hi all, I learned a good lesson, "leach often" from now on it's going to happen at every fluid change. Today is the start of my 7th week. I still see yellowing leaves but the plants are alive. Looking thru a loop I see only a few milky hairs and no clear ones. I have some real big buds and smaller ones all over the plant. I checked a little out (I broke a branch) and it's real nice. It's time to change fluids and I'm thinking of using straight water for a week or so and them it's game time. At this time the pic all look the same. I'm all ears at this point.

Well this is it, my plants look better than a week ago. I'm having major woman problems and I'm between a rock and a hard place. The last place I want to be is in jail, I would pop a cap in my head first. Due to all of that I'm pulling my box apart until I feel safe. I'll post whatever I can from this point but it's going to be iffy. Thanks for all your help, I got thru my first real grow and I proved something.

Hi all I hope you all enjoying you're weekend. Today I drained all the fluids and replaced it with straight distilled water. I brough the PH down to 5.8 and I'm going to try to keep it going another week. I'm saving all the leaves and stuff I've removed. I'm eventually going to try and make hash. Tuesday Aug 5th is my first entry in my log. I'll let you know what's up. I'll try to get some nice Cola pics when I take it apart. I do have a Mother but I don't know what to do with it.

 

Aww dont blame ya about jail, not so good on the woman front but just funny how ppl change once ya start t see the real person. Anyway its looking like ya soon have some quality smoke to ease ya troubles. Always wanted t make hash but ya really do need to grow alot to make it worth the time and trouble.

 

Thanks to all for all support, I've been picking at it and it's going to be good. The old lady is working today and going to her Mom's house for a few days. I'm sure they made plans to dispose the body although with no communication I won't be there. I'm going to pull everything down, trim and dry it. I'm not looking forward to all that work but I have to do what I have to do. I'm going to give my Mother plant to someone hopefully they can keep it going. This all started because I was told I'm all mouth and results are what count. She had 20 seedlings all over the house in the living room, on window sills. Acording to her, it's a weed, it will grow anyplace. It's like I'm Rodny Dangerfield, I can't get any respect regardless of what I do.
